Top 5 Winter Blues Gay Travel Destinations

Well, this year has gotten off to a shaky start and the gloom and chill of winter can weigh heavy on our sun-loving, gay hearts. Sometimes, you just gotta cash in your 401K, empty your savings accounts, get a sugar daddy, or whatever you need to do to get some coin and book a passage somewhere warm and frisky until we can make it to the steamy days of summer. Here are our top suggestions on where to go to escape the winter doldrums.

Key West, Florida

Regardless of the mess of a state that Florida is, we still love to bring our gay dollars to the uber-gay area of Key West. The sun is practically always blazing, the area has more than its share of gay resorts and bars. If you are looking for debaucherous times, many of the gay bars allow fully nude bartenders and customer play areas. Of course, no visit to Key West would be complete without a trip to our favorite, Island House Key West. Everything you need under one roof - great food, stiff drinks, and stiff men!

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

Rio continues to be one of the top hot spots for steamy gay men, regardless of the time of year. There are sexy bitches, hot nightclubs, block parties, and sexy pool parties. Culture and homosexuality come together and going to Rio is like going to an adult Disneyland. It is a fantasy with history and hung guys. The number one area of LGBTQ culture is Ipanema. Rio should definitely be on your bucket list.

Palm Springs, California

Palm Springs has been a long-time mecca for gay travelers. It is affordable, it is full of a wide variety of guys, and the gay scene is huge. From a hole-in-the-wall bar to hot nightclubs, the nightlife scene is vibrant. There are more than a handful of gay resorts to stay at, and the crowd is extremely friendly, you'll have fun even if you are traveling alone. There are some sexy parts to the town, including its own gay sex club. The drag scene is also strong, some of the local queens could rival the Drag Race girls. The town is also slow-paced and laid back if that is more your scene. Their international airport is its own city, and extremely easy to access no matter where you are coming from.

Maspalomas, Spain

Spanish men are just hot. And so are its beaches. Maspalomas doesn't slow down at all during the winter. This region makes up one of four of Spain's main gay destinations. We like this area because you get the gay vacation vibes, but it can also be a bit laid back to relax. The party is still happening though, there are about 30 clubs/bars. November to May is considered peak seasons and the winter days are still warm on the beach. There are gay resorts available to make your stay truly sexy.

Honolulu, Hawaii

While Hawaii may be prone to surprise rain showers, the sun is usually just a few moments behind. Honolulu has about 1 million residents and also serves as the place for the best gay bars and clubs. You will get a nice mix of military men, international visitors, and sexy locals. Grab your speedo, there are six beach districts in the span of two miles. There is plenty of tourist attractions to enjoy, and many pool parties and gay events. You'll have no problem filling out your activity plans or just lounging on the beach. You go at your own pace.
