Want to Get on Reality TV? Here Are Your Easiest Options

REALITY TV

How To the Queer Way graphic with gay pride colors

Get on Reality TV the Easy Way!

While many of us gays love watching reality TV - from the best to the worst crap - there are a number of us who dream of reality TV stardom. Not only does it get you on TV, but depending on how your appearance goes, could set you up for a major social media boost, a career as an influencer, and get you laid on Grindr pretty quickly. There are a number of reality TV stars that have used their platform to become major players in the biz...Bethenny Frankel anyone?

Researchers at Hello Millions conducted a study, taking the top 19 reality shows, to find out which programs were the easiest to get on. If you've ever wanted to dip your toes in the genre, here are the shows to apply for that might just get you cast.

Hell's Kitchen

Coming in first is Hell's Kitchen. This reality TV show is led by uber-bitch Gordan Ramsay and pits cooks in teams coming up with signature dishes. Each season features 18 participants and apparently is the easiest to get on, keeping in mind the number of applications being sent. Can't cook? Fake it. And, according to more data, Vermont is the state most interested in getting on this show.

The Bachelorette

This one doesn't really apply to us. But, hey, you bisexuals out there, go apply and represent! There are 26 participants each season. Interestingly, The Bachelorette ranks higher in ratings than The Bachelor, people love women in power!

Squid Game: The Challenge

This reality show is very new to the scene. Based on the Netflix series of the same name, this was a huge hit in its first season. Given the rigorous activities, stress, and time involved in filming, this might be a stretch for many reality TV hopefuls. This show is not your run-of-the-mill program. A bonus though, it offers the highest cash prize of any show on TV, $4.56 million. The series picks 456 applicants. Although the first challenge pretty much whittles that down very quickly. Hawaii and California are most obsessed with getting on the show.

MasterChef

Another cooking show! This show provides 20 spots for amateur and home chefs looking to compete to bump up their cooking careers. Gordon Ramsay serves as a judge. Interestingly enough, Wyoming seems most interested in being on the show.

The Bachelor

Coming in fifth is The Bachelor. Well, this one doesn't really apply to us, until they do a gay version, we are shit out of luck! LOL. But tell your Flame Dame that there are 33 spaces open each season. North Dakota seems to be the state most interested in getting on this show.

After The Bachelor, ranking is as follows: The Traitors, The Amazing Race, Are You the One?, The Ultimatum, and the 10th easiest is Love Island.

Which reality TV show would you want to be on?
