OnlyFans: Getting Started…It’s All in the Name!

Here at Fleshbot, we see what works and what doesn’t work with our content creator partners. With OnlyFans only growing more and more each day, we are going to start sharing some of our tips of the trade to make your content-creating experience fire!

So, first things first. You’ve decided to start your OnlyFans. Congrats! As we reported earlier this month, the site really got its major growth during COVID, from  $375 million to $2.5 billion from 2020 to 2022. Makes sense, we were all home with nothing to do but engage with our favorite content creators. Now that we are all back to work, that growth has slowed, but people continue to make money each month. How do you keep your voice heard with so many other content creators out there? Well, it’s best to start off on the right foot. How you first present yourself to your fan base is going to determine if they scroll past your profile, or if they stick around and subscribe. We’ll be giving tips on what do to once you get your fans, but for now, let’s just get you off the ground!

With all our social media platform usernames, sometimes it's hard to figure out something catchy and memorable. Here’s the thing, make it EASY TO REMEMBER. The simpler, the better. What comes rolling off the tongue and isn’t full of numbers and random letters?

If you aren’t a porn star or already have a social media following, think about using a username that describes what you want to be known for, or what kind of content you will be sharing, rather than just your name. If you have a bubble butt from the gods, maybe your OnlyFans is BubbleButtOnParade…lol, or something like that. This lets a potential user know exactly what you have to offer. Butt, we mean but, a word of caution. There could be a million other bubble-butt types of users out there, so think outside of the box while keeping to your brand and keeping it simple. Search what is already out there and modify it.

Sometimes we get bored on Instagram and change our username. Don’t do that on your OnlyFans. Once you pick something and start promoting your page, keep to it. Commit! Changing your user name will only confuse your fan base and mess up your links.

Once you get your username decided, make some graphics with your brand name clearly presented. Using simple tools like Canva are useful (and cheap) in creating banners and social media posts that you can design with your pictures and username. Start pushing that stuff out, your username is now your calling card!

Have you started an OnlyFans? What tips do you have?
