Hey Gurl! with Jordan Jayro: Nyx Litre Talks Reality TV, Dildos, And The Stolen Bag

Hey gurl! It’s a new week, and that means there’s a brand-new episode of my podcast Hey Gurl! With Jordan Jayro! This week, my special guest is Nyx Litre! Nyx is a staple in the West Hollywood drag scene! We met a few years ago just when the world was opening up during COVID. We ended up doing a corporate pride gig in an empty office in downtown LA. It was crazy, and very much virtual drag vibes. Nyx hosts brunch every Saturday and Sunday at Beaches in West Hollywood! She tells me a really great story about a suction dildo that will totally make sense later!

We started the episode by talking about reality TV. I mentioned the drama surrounding Luke from Big Brother. If you don’t know, Luke was caught on camera saying the n-word during a live stream. As a result, he was disqualified from the competition. GAG. I could not believe he did that. And I found the original video on Twitter! That word slipped out of his mouth so casually, like he says it all the time. He needed to go. From there we talked about the Below Deck drama (look it up, it’s wild), and the Real Housewives.

Somehow we ended up talking about bathhouses. At the time of this recording, Nyx was still in Boston visiting. I mentioned that I’d be going to Chicago over Labor Day weekend for the Continental pageant, and Nyx told me I need to check out the Steamworks in Chicago. I’ve heard that from a few people, so maybe I need to pay a visit. For educational purposes of course. Nyx told me about a sex party she had been to recently, and how she’s always scared to go to those kinds of parties in West Hollywood. The gay world is so small, and you’re bound to run into someone you know.

I could not end the episode without asking Nyx about the infamous stolen bag. In case you don’t know, one night after her show at Rocco’s in West Hollywood, Nyx’s bag with all of her drag things was stolen. The venue had surveillance footage, so we all were sharing it online. It ended up being this random guy who wasn’t supposed to be in the dressing room to begin with. The footage showed Nyx turning around for just a second before he could be seen grabbing the bag and leaving with it. After the entire community rallied behind her, Nyx was able to find the man who stole the bag and get it back from him. There was a confrontation at a local burger place and everything. It was crazy!
