DIGGING DEEPER WITH DILLON DIAZ: CHATTING WITH BAXXX

I met Baxxx, a beautiful, kind, young man at last year's AVN Awards in Vegas. He stood right in front of us and flashed his sparkling smile and doe eyes. Jake and I introduced ourselves and we chatted briefly. One of the things we talked about was collaborating on some content. At the end of the conversation, I was sure we would never hear from this beautiful creature again but I’m glad to be wrong about that. Since then we have collaborated on some content and we’ve had the opportunity to speak more extensively. Now I find him not only gorgeous but incredibly thoughtful and intellectual.

Without any further ado here is our very informative Q&A session.

When did you start making adult content?

I started in 2018 with private customs. In 2019, I opened my first OnlyFans and posted modeling photos that were a bit too spicy for Instagram. At the time it was just professional shots, so without the ability to shoot during the Covid shutdown, I closed the page. I started back up again in April 2021, and I’ve been full-time ever since.

What lead you to being a content creator?

I actually submitted to a casting call for adult videos sometime in the early 2010s. They required a few nudes and an erect dick shot, which I happily sent over. I don’t remember the job offering much pay, but the thought of having sex or a handjob from a cute girl (the two roles being offered) was more than enough compensation for my young, horny self (and probably the entire motivation for submitting in the first place, lol). Alas, I never heard back, so my adult film career would need to wait another decade.

I never gave much thought to adult work after that one submission. Even when I started my OnlyFans in 2019, I was only doing artistic nudes, and that was as far as I really wanted to go. I was still trying to work in narrative films, having pursued acting for most of my twenties, and eventually working behind the camera. And while I was getting tired of the starving artist life, I was really hesitant to commit to porn. I was afraid that if I did, it would compromise my ability to work elsewhere. Then Covid hit and I lost what little work I was getting, so I had to try and find employment. But the job market post-Covid was so competitive, and my years of artistic pursuits meant I had no real resume for the general workforce. A friend suggested I do OnlyFans again, and I gave it some reconsideration. I think I made it about a week before I was like, “Fuck it, let’s do this”.

What are the most challenging aspects of the job?

Travel. It’s a blessing and a curse. Because I live in an area that doesn’t feature many local creators, the only option is to hit the road for collabs. This means I spend between 50-75% of the year away from home, which makes diet and exercise quite difficult. Plus, being on travel all the time can be really draining physically and mentally. It’s also by far my biggest overhead, as my travel expenses range from 20-30k annually. That means I have to generate that amount before I break even, and that doesn’t include all of the business expenses related to this line of work, like STD testing, performer healthcare, etc.

Content creation has immense fluctuations in income. Some months, with a combination of studio paychecks and good OF sales, can be really good. And then the next month I’ll make 60% of what I made the month prior. Mentally, I find this quite challenging, as I get really motivated to create when my pages do well, and really de-motivated when they do poorly. And even though I expect those natural fluctuations, it can be hard to always push forward and make new content. It’s also really easy to burn out, so I try to schedule time off, while still having a backlog of content to post so fans always have something new to look forward to.

What are the most rewarding aspects of the job?

While travel can be exhausting, I’ve also had the opportunity to see some amazing places in the world. It’s also really nice to be your own boss and set your own schedule. Though it often feels like I somehow have both more and less free time than my 9-5 friends lol. But my favorite part is fans telling me how much they enjoyed something I made. That feedback is invaluable and motivates me to push myself and make the best content I can.

How do you describe your sexuality?

I’m straight, and to be extra precise, I’d label myself as Gynosexual and Heteroromantic.

Gynosexual is an attraction to femininity, regardless of assigned gender at birth. And Heteroromantic means I’m romantically attracted to cisgender women. So I can have a strong sexual attraction to trans and cis women, and I pursue romantic relationships with cis women.

In the bedroom, I’m naturally soft and sensual. I’m not terribly aggressive, and I’m not into rough sex. That doesn’t mean I don’t like physically intense sex! But rather that the vibe is more intimate and gentle. Sex with a person I care about and have a strong connection with is vastly superior to any casual hookup. I love to give pleasure as much as I like to receive it, and I’m very flexible and accommodating with what a partner might enjoy. Getting people off is hot!

On the kink side, I’m a Femdom-leaning switch, so while I love to both sub and dom, I generally prefer to be dominated by my partner. I find not knowing exactly what’s going to happen next to be exciting. Like my vanilla sex, I prefer a softer vibe, even if the activities or scene is intense. And while short-term power exchange play can be fun over a weekend, I’m not a lifestyle sub or dom. I’d consider myself 50% vanilla, 50% switch, but that mood can vary a lot, especially depending on the partner I’m with.

Has being an adult content creator changed how you view or define your sexuality?

Absolutely. It wasn’t until porn that I discovered my sexual attraction to trans women, and it’s also redefined what I like. The biggest change was realizing that some of my strongest fantasies can be really powerful arousal triggers, but not necessarily something I enjoy doing. I’ve also noticed just how different porn is from sex. The actions may be the same, but having the camera on switches my brain into performer mode, and I’m not sure I can ever switch that off. You’re also constantly working with new people, and not everyone is going to have really strong chemistry together. Personally, I’m extremely mental when it comes to sex, so having a strong connection to my partner makes the experience vastly different. I also think it’s really important to have a sex life outside of this line of work, but I personally find it very difficult to date.

Have you gotten any kickback from your fans for your choice of on-screen partners?

I’ve had such positive feedback from fans over the years, and so many have sent me such nice messages in regard to my work. It’s humbling and motivating, and I always strive to put out the best content I can. But transitioning from a solo creator to one that does partner content always comes with challenges. Sexuality has such diversity, that no matter what you create, you’re bound to have someone that doesn’t like that content. Everything I’ve made has fans that love it, and fans that don’t. And while I certainly don’t mind if people aren’t interested in a scene, it’s unfortunate when people feel the need to criticize my partners.

Having to find and delete rude comments, or respond to DMs insulting my collaborators is stressful. I don’t mind if people hate me, or if they think I’m ugly. But I work with some amazing creators, and many of them are such nice people, that it’s hurtful to read such vile comments about them. It’s also time spent that I just don’t have. I’m the only one that runs my pages, I don’t have a manager or an assistant. It’s something I feel very strongly about—fans are subscribing to me, not a management company pretending to be me on OF. And I’m deeply passionate about diversity and inclusion in the adult space. So much of it is so segmented, that you often find people only work with a very small set of body types, looks, or gender identities.

I find the vast breadth of human sexuality and experience beautiful, so I want to explore and celebrate that. And I believe that representation matters for fans too. I was in the grocery store a few days ago, just after I left the gym, and a few of the women I was standing in line with complimented my physique. Some of them were perhaps not up to society’s beauty standards, nor were they white. If I was like most of the bigger male performers on the straight side, my co-performers would just be the standard, conventionally attractive, cis-het white women that everyone shoots. So if those women were to subscribe to that page, they’d find no representation. No one that looks like them. It’s as though the creator is making a statement “Your look isn’t valued here”. I find that sad. And the same is true on the men’s side. If you’re a huskier man of color, would you want to subscribe to a page that only features skinny white guys? Maybe, maybe not. But I’d rather be able to work with people who have that body type, so you do have that representation. As I've been shooting more bi-scenes, I've noticed that many of the bi and pansexual men have been splitting their pages, with one for straight scenes, and one for gay scenes.

At first, I really didn’t want to. I thought the diversity was fun, and it's not like I was making people to watch something they didn't want to. I figured you can just scroll to the content you do want. And I know personally If I subscribe to a girl I find really attractive, everything she makes is hot to me. But, like the bi pages, dealing with the negativity and complaints just gets tiring. So, like them, I split my pages. I now have one that’s just M/M content and one that’s for everything and highly diverse. The reality is, they do better separate. And wanting to see only a certain type of content is totally valid, I’d never argue against that. I still believe in my approach to diversity and inclusion. All body types deserve pleasure, and I feel continually motivated to work with all varieties of people, not just those that fit conventional standards. In the end, I don’t mind having separate pages. People can subscribe to whichever one they prefer, and as long as people continue to like the work I do on either side, that’s what matters to me.

If you weren’t an adult content creator what else would you do?

Film was always my passion, from acting to camera work. I’m still working on my debut feature in the narrative space, in which I was the cinematographer, co-editor, and colorist. I’d still like to work in that space, though it’s difficult to find the time to do both.

Which do you enjoy more, making your own content or partnering with a studio/director?

Ideally, I’d love to do a mix of both every month. That’s tough though, as I’m almost always on travel and not necessarily in a location with a studio. Getting a paycheck is nice, but there are also some fun studio scenes that aren’t really possible to do as a collab (location, props, gear, etc). I also follow a few studios that create very cinematic work, with a storyline and acting. I’d love to do an adult feature film someday.

You may have one of the most beautiful bodies in porn today. How do you maintain it? Can you share some of your fitness routine with us?

Aww, that’s very kind. My body fluctuates quite a bit these days, as travel makes a consistent gym and diet routine difficult, if not impossible. When I first started working out, I went to the gym because I loved it, but I gave no real thought to diet other than to have a protein shake after each workout. And there’s a part of me that really wants to go back to that mindset, it’s so much freer than constantly counting macros and checking my body fat levels. But the knowledge I have today makes that impossible. I know how my food choices will impact me, and I can see every change my body makes. So I try to balance the two ideals—eating and training for pleasure, and eating and training for aesthetics. I’d like to think I’ve found a pretty good balance, but it’s not easy. I’m hyper-aware of my physique these days, and I put a lot of pressure on myself to look good. It’s what I do for work after all.

Ideally, I like to get a 6-day hypertrophy split in—chest, back, legs, shoulders, arms, and legs. But that’s often difficult on travel, so sometimes I switch to 3 days—chest and back, shoulders and arms, and legs. Diet can vary a lot. Sometimes I get 3-4 smaller, reasonably optimized meals per day. Other times I might eat just one big meal, and fast 18-24 hours before I eat again. My main dietary goal is to just make sure I get a decent amount of protein per day, preferably 80 to 120 grams. Other than that, I’m probably a bit too lenient, but hey, ice cream is tasty lol.

You have worked with some fantastic performers.  Is there anyone on your wish list?

I’m always looking to work with new people. I love the variety of content, and each person brings something new or different to the table. I’m also really passionate about working with all body types and gender identities —so I’d say it’s less an individual person and more just everybody. Of course, always trying to find new people (that are properly tested and verified creators) is so difficult. I spend a lot of time on Twitter looking for performers, and then they have to notice and want to work with me. Not everyone does (which is totally fine!), so it’s exciting when I do find new people to shoot with.

Do you have any scenes coming out that you are particularly excited about or proud of?

I think both of my pages have some amazing content lined up. My varied page has a huge list of upcoming collabs with some really cool people from all backgrounds. And my men's page has some super hot guy/guy scenes on the way (some of which I just shot this week), so stay tuned!

What is one thing you think your fans would be surprised to learn about you?

I’m not sure they realize how much I’m into video games. I don’t really post about it on my Twitter or IG, but it’s my main hobby outside of the gym and work. I have a massive retro game collection, including the old CRTs (Tube TVs) that people see in the background and constantly tell me to throw away, lol. I love video games. I’ve been playing since I had access to an NES as a kid, and I’ve never stopped. I don’t have as much time today, but I often bring my Nintendo Switch with me on travel (or one of my retro handhelds). I actually used to stream on Twitch prior to adult work (another one of my failed business ventures lol). Someday I might try streaming again, but I’m just so busy with work it’s hard to find the time. And when I do, I just want to game by myself. Since so much of my life is intimately shared, it’s nice to have a hobby that’s just for me.

Quick fire questions:

Top, bottom, or vers?

I shoot vers, but I prefer to top.

Briefs, jockstrap or commando?

Boxer briefs! Though if I have to pick from those three, briefs.

Pajamas or birthday suit?

Pajamas, I can’t sleep naked or without sheets and a blanket.

Dick pic or ass pic?

Ass pic—I built that! Dick, eh, that’s just what I was born with, lol.

Leg day or chest day?

Legs!

Camera on or camera off?

I spend a lot of time on camera. Off, please!

One-on-one or threesome?

Intimate one-on-one.
