New ‘Superman’ David Corenswet Showing Off His Massive Bulge Is Our Kryptonite!

Every generation gets a new Superman, and after Henry Cavill MORE than filled his duties brilliantly, it's time for a changing of the guard. There's a new Man of Steel in town, and from the looks of his recent beach photos, David Corenswet's steel extends to all aspects of his casting.

Corenswet won the hearts of millions when he appeared in the Ben Platt vehicle The Politician. Corenswet plays Platt's best friend and love of his life who dies tragically.

And Corenswet is decidedly aware of his resemblance to Henry Cavill. "It came to my attention before the internet got a hold of me," he told EW. And following Cavill's footsteps is decidedly a long-term dream finally coming to fruition. "But my pie-in-the-sky ambition is definitely to play Superman." he told EW. "I would love to see somebody do an upbeat, throwback [take on Superman]. I love the Henry Cavill dark and gritty take, but I would love to see the next one be very bright and optimistic."
