How did you get your name:

It was my nickname since I was a kid. So was “jello” but Snaaake feels somewhat edgier and less traumatic.

When did you start go-go dancing and what got you into it?

Officially, about a year before the pandemic. I was in a rough patch and job desperate. I DM’d every club and party IG asking for bartender or barback jobs. One responded and said they had a cancellation that night and asked if I danced. I lied and said yes and bought cute underwear on the way...and the rest is history.

Favorite styles of music and artists to dance to?

Love to throw my ass in a circle to everything from a modern bussy-popper to throwback R&B, to Reggaeton. If I know the soft choreo—even better.

Venues & parties you dance at:

Precinct DTLA is my home bar. The Y2K night “You’ve Got Male" and the Latin nights “Que Perra” and “Puteria” are top tier. I’ve been lucky enough to dance from WeHo to Long Beach and even San Francisco.

Favorite thing to wear while dancing?

Security snapback and a good harness. A skirt as a bonus.

Ass ass ass.

Dropping into a good twerk.

Not... on the clock… I don't think.

What advice would you give to a new go-go dancer?

Show up, have fun, and say thank you.

Favorite thing about being a go-go boy:

It’s helped me love and appreciate my body.

What do you like to do when you’re not go-go dancing?

Hike, beach, or Dead by Daylight. I’m something of a hairstylist, too.

What do you love about the city you live in?

The diversity and creativity. There are so many amazing people here if you’re willing to look.
