Sorry For Asking Recap: Steve Cruz Spills The Splooge on The Industry, Then and Now

PORN GALLERIES

Another day, another podcast, and this week on Sorry For Asking, Adam Ramzi and Cole Connor welcome Raging Stallion Studios performer turned Falcon Media director Steve Cruz, who transitioned from modeling to directing. The guys asked their very special guest about his beginnings in adult entertainment back in 2006 through his experience now as a director and balancing work with his personal life.

Cole and Steve take a minute to reminisce about one of their more recent projects together, which was a collaboration with Cam4. according to Steve, Cole was an all-star performer, as we all know him to be. Even when the time to cum… well, came and the shoot was rudely interrupted by a lawnmower, Cole kept his composure and was ready to bust like a cannon once they resumed. As Adam points out, you never know what noises, interruptions, and delays might pop up.

The guys also discuss the current era of porn and the introduction of OnlyFans and other performer-driven fansites to the scene. Steve Cruz is of course a generous patron to his favorite models. He shares with us what’s on his screen when he logs on to get off, and the answer may be a bit of a surprise to your ears. After all, what would a man who’s around porn 24/7 indulge in on his off day? The world wants to know.

There came a time when Steve was no longer getting the enjoyment out of performing as he once did. He talks about the stressors of performing and doing it for the fans, stating, “people think it’s all fun and games, but it’s hard work.” Near the end, he found that he was no longer doing it for himself. Luckily, he found other opportunities behind the camera, which made for the perfect time in his career to transition to directing.

Let’s talk condoms. What are condoms? Google it. Steve also talks about being in the industry during the rise of PrEP and the downfall of the infamous prophylactic raincoat. According to Steve, with regular testing and constantly updated data, the industry is far more ethical with far less blacklisting. The politics of porn are evolving. For the better? Debatable, as Cole points out that “cancel culture is the new blacklisting.” Preach.

Adding to that, Steve spills all of the tea about the industry of yesteryear. During one of his own first directorial debuts, an anonymous hater called the police to shut down production. Karma is real, though, as those folks and studios are long gone and Steve clearly is still standing, with a thriving career as a director. You know what they say, “If you have a hater, you know you must be doing something right.”

Alright, that’s enough out of me. If you want more of the tea, check out the full podcast, Sorry For Asking, with special guest Steve Cruz. As always, Adam and Cole have the tea, and this week it’s served extra hot.
