Hi gay! As I'm sure you very well know, this Sunday was the 65th Annual Grammy Awards! The biggest night in music! Although apparently, you can win a Grammy for reading a book (Drag Queen Story Hour is about to be LIT)! As much as we love the gag-worthy moments of the main show, the red carpet is equally important! It's all about the fashions, who's wearing who, and what the hell were they thinking?! I have sorted through all of the looks from this Sunday, and I've narrowed it down to a few of my favorites, and least favorites! I do not play games when it comes to red-carpet fashion so let's waste any more time!

Cardi B

Cardi B (whose real name I choose to believe is Cardigan Backyardigan) always kills it on the red carpet! I love this color on her! She looks so glamorous and flawless! Cardi is wearing Indian designer Gaurav Gupta, who has previously dressed Megan Thee Stallion, Ashanti and so many more! I love this dress on Cardi, and I especially appreciate a look that makes it hard to see. She’s out here giving the gays everything they want, meanwhile others just throw on whatever they have laying around. More on that later though.

Kacey Musgraves

I love Kacey Musgraves, ostrich feathers, capes, and the color pink. And this look is giving me all of those combined! She looks so stunning in this ostrich cape and jumpsuit by Valentino. She looks expensive and so sexy! Even the hair and makeup are flawless. Shout out to the gays who put her together! And shout out to Valentino for killing it on the runway all year long! I was so happy to see someone wearing Valentino at the Grammy Awards this year. And the fact that it was my queen Kacey Musgraves made it even better!!

Lizzo

The way Lizzo loves a voluminous red carpet look is so inspiring to me! She slayed in this orange Dolce & Gabbana duster and gown. She’s got a pop of color, sparkles, flowers, and a reveal!! Lizzo is doing drag!! We love to see it! Her hair and makeup were soft and understated, letting her natural beauty shine! I love that the fashion is doing all the talking. It was a great night for Lizzo both on the carpet and on the show! She's out here snatching trophies! And I loved how her performance look was a similar silhouette. Smart girl, that Lizzo!

Dylan Mulvaney

I gasped when I opened Instagram and saw this look on Dylan Mulvaney. She looks absolutely incredible in this gown by fellow queer icon Christian Siriano. Christian Siriano has been a favorite of mine since he won Project Runway. The bright red gown with the cutouts and gloves gave me EVERYTHING. And Dylan's hair was so flattering on her. The simple jewelry and red lip tied everything together. It’s clear everything was so well thought out and executed. So gorgeous! Chef’s kiss!

Doja Cat

Doja Cat looks like a literal goddess in this look by Atelier Versace! I need to be clear about one thing though: please stop calling this gown latex. I initially thought it was made of latex but then zoomed in and saw stitching! Any good gay knows you can’t sew latex, so this must be vinyl! Either way, this silhouette is timeless and so flattering! And it catches the light so well! Doja’s little pussycat wig looks amazing with this look! She was once again turning heads with her fashion, in the best way!! We loved her at Fashion Week, and she slayed once more at the Grammys!

Blac Chyna

I’m so glad Blac Chyna took time from her busy schedule of suing the Kardashians to grace us with her presence on the Grammys' red carpet. However, this look is not it. She looks like she really just wants people to talk about her. And look at me now, talking about her. So good for her I guess. I’m just trying to understand what is happening here. I’m seeing Krampus gets cast in the off-Broadway revival of Black Swan, but not in a good way. Lucky her for getting an invite though! That's more than I got!

What in the synthetic hell is this wig? Granted, I know it’s human, but the color is just so Ronald McDonald! And the outfit is very Hamburglar. I truly didn’t even realize who this was at first. It’s just such a strange choice! And the hat! It’s so confusing. I don’t like the shape of it, but the silhouette of the outfit is nice! I just feel like the Grammys is such a fancy event. Why would anyone wear this? I will be discussing this with my therapist.

Okay, I need a moment to collect myself. This outfit was such a poor choice for such a prestigious event! He’s wearing a denim hoodie and shorts with embroidery, Doc Martens, and ruffle socks! It’s bad enough not to care about fashion or dressing up. If that’s the case, don’t walk the carpet! The gays do not need this! We've been through enough!

Harry Styles

I like Harry Styles! I think he makes some good music, and yes he is gorgeous! But I often don’t understand his fashion choices. It always feels like his looks are excessive for the sake of being loud and eccentric. And this Grammy Awards look is no exception. It’s such a strange sort of wide-legged pair of overalls with Swarovski stones. I don’t see anything gag-worthy about it. He's still sexy though.

Gus Kenworthy

Continuing in the great tradition of men choosing to wear any old thing on the red carpet, we have Gus Kenworthy. He wore a plain white short sleeve shirt and a pair of Prada overalls. This is an example of something that is obviously very fancy and expensive but looks so plain and boring. And quite frankly, way too casual for the Grammy Awards! Do people who show up like this not look around and feel underdressed? I guess if you’re someone who wears overalls to the Grammys you probably don’t notice anyone else’s clothes either.
