Grindr Fails: Don’t Start a Conversation if You Don’t Want to Respond

Trying to meet somebody on Grindr? A hookup? A date? Just a chat? Whatever your reasons for starting to engage on an app, it’s just a common courtesy that if you're going to start a conversation and actually get a response then it might be nice to actually respond to your response…

Isn’t the whole point of these apps to find out who and what might be out there?! I mean, there’s fishing, where you’re pretending to be someone your not, but aren’t you still trying to get some?

A lot of users spend a lot of time just window shopping (guilty), but that’s totally fine.

A lot of us try to engage and get nothing back but a “sorry, not a match” or a “pass.” Hey, at the least the sons of bitches are being honest with you…

And a lot of us try to woof and engage and never get a response at all. No shame. It happens to the best of us.

But then, if somebody actually reaches out to you first, they give you a wave, a woof, a “hey,” a “what are you into?” and an “are you hosting?” then it should be pretty safe to assume that they’re interested.

So if you see this and some pretty hot and authentic-looking photos and you think they’re hot the balls (pun intended) are in your court.

If you respond with a good, “Hey! I’m into cuddling, kissing, and eventually topping. How about you?” then you have successfully sent the balls back to their court and deserve some kind of response…

The moral of this story and this week’s #GrindrFailure is if you are going to start a conversation and actually get a response, then at least have the follow-through to respond to the response.

On Grindr and in life, just don't start what you don’t want to finish…
