What sets Rod's Room apart from the other sites out there?
The polished details are what makes Rod's Room shine so bright. It starts with the attitude going into the day and touches every part of what we do on set. As a performer, I always wanted a place where capturing hot sex and stunning images that the models were in love with was the priority of the day. As a director, my team is able to create that environment for my talent. When I am behind the camera, I take the time with the models to get their personalities to shine through and work with them to get outside of their normal modeling routine. I want them to be proud of their work. I want them to feel like a magazine cover shot every time. Also, Monster Mouth production sets are focused on creating the best environment for the models to thrive. We try to center and prioritize them as much as possible in order to set them up for success and to feel their best. In return, we get their best.

What was the inspiration behind Rod's Room?
Magazines and music videos all the way. Candies shoe ads are forever in my heart. Paper Magazine. Fashion. California. Bright colors. Costuming. Lounging. Bruce of Hollywood. Tom of Finland, to name a few. It's a whole vibe.

What was the creative process in putting the look together?
Looks are created with the spark from one thing. Take an idea and run with it. Usually, it starts at the shoes. I want every facet of the looks to match in some way. Textures, materials, looks, vibes. My very first job was in costuming and I have carried that with me my entire career. I want every single thing to look intentional. It is extremely important to make the picture look whole. I want the viewer to find something new they like every time they look at the content. If an element in the shoot is off, my little obsessive brain will see it and always go to it when I digest the content and it will bother me forever. I try my best to make everything just right to give it a high-polish look.

Initially, it started out as a creep with a camera who puts boys in underwear and takes their photos. Then I wanted to do more than just one look. I wanted the gimmick to be dressed up. I love to play "dress up" and now I have some of the most beautiful men in the world to play dress up with. I wanted their looks to feel classic and timeless. In the beginning, I was putting the guys in a lot of my vintage wardrobe pieces. I have collected wardrobe for 20 years so it was time to make it all make sense. After a few shoots, I realized that we should be making the branding really Pop. That is when we started giving the models Rod's Room Briefs and Jockstraps. That took it to the next level. Every photo started to feel extra special. The wardrobe design got easier because the throughline became more clear to me.

What is the mission of Rod's Room?
My mission for the content is to create something that you can't pull yourself away from. Something that will catch your eye and keep it there. I want to keep making movies and taking photos that never become stale. My mission for the models is to center them as the focus of the day and help them give my camera some magic to capture. I want the models to see themselves as the beautiful stars that they are and really shine bright during some scorching hot sex. The better the experience on set the better the performance potential.

Who are some of the porn favorites we can expect to see?
Chris Damned stopped by and played. Roman Todd is a fan favorite for sure. Dakota Payne graced us with his performance. Brandon Anderson really opened up for us.

What has been a standout moment so far from filming?
OMG, so many stand-out moments in Rod's Room. It is a very up close and personal experience when I film so I feel like I have gotten to intimately experience every single one of the scenes. Shooting POV and having the guys lean back on me so I can talk in their ear is definitely something that stands out for me. I can’t wait to see the final product on that episode. Thanks to Chris Damned for that hot moment, by the way.

How have the stars responded to filming content for Rod's Room?
They love it. I am getting nonstop messages asking for the photos but I have had to keep it all under wraps until the launch. We prioritize models on our set so they have a great time doing what they love during their time with us.

Who is Rod? Is he hot?
My alter ego, Rod, is a professional fashion photographer that has gorgeous studs come over and play in front of his lens. Rod is a beautiful enigma. Rod is the type of magic person that makes you feel beautiful inside and out. I am Rod.

I actually started out doing gay porn under the name James Oak as part of my sexual journey. I found out that I don’t personally love intercourse with men but I sure don't mind a shared sexual experience with them. In the "straight" side of adult films, I spent the early part of my career hiding my gayness. With this project, I get to let the parts of me that do love gay sex have their time in the limelight.

What have you loved most about directing these scenes?
