The Research Is In: The World’s Most Seductive City (It’s Not Where You Think)

Look… I’m not saying I’m a whore, but while I’m reviewing Queer culture in Europe as part of my Cybersocket Abroad series, the metrics for the Most Seductive (and least) Cities In the World were released and the #1 and #5 spots are the two cities I’ve been covering, and the #3 spot is the city in which I live. Did I cause these ratings? Who’s to say? But while I’m here, let’s take a look at the stats, as well as what the guidelines were for deciding.

All data and metrics in this article are based on a study by the research team at The Bottle Club. The cities were ranked on their seductiveness based on eight criteria with rankings from 1-10. The eight criteria they measure the cities on were:

- Number of Strip Clubs
- Number of Sex Events
- Number of Kinky People
- Number of Porn Stars Who Live in the City
- Number of 1-Hour Hotels/Motels
- Number of People in Each City who Have Signed up to Encounters, OnlyFans, and Swingers Life.
- Number of Champagne Bars
- Number of Oyster Restaurants (because, sure...)

THE #1 MOST SEDUCTIVE CITY IN THE WORLD: LONDON

Sorry, Berlin, but with a rating of 72.2 out of 80, London was determined to be the most comprehensively seductive city in the world. Sure, "anything goes" in Berlin, but that's not enough to land it in the top spot. Hell, Berlin is on the later end made the Top 10 in terms of seductive cities!

London boasts a whopping 167,197 people who have accounts on OnlyFans, Encounters, and Swingers, as well as 30 porn stars named after the city. That's pretty damn impressive when you consider that the Least Seductive City (Oslo, Norway) has less than 100 people on OnlyFans and zero porn stars named after it. Sin City itself, Las Vegas, puts up a good fight with a score of 67.6 out of 80, which tracks when you realize they have 115 strip clubs and 88 sex events. But unfortunately that just doesn't cut it!

I was surprised to learn that London also took the cake for sensual foods over the likes of Paris and New York. The capital of the United Kingdom scored a behemoth 19.7 out of 20. That's right: America's former HQ has 2,948 champagne bars if you want to tickle your nose with bubbles before you tickle your nose with a mustache ride. And for the city whose Tube is paid for with an Oyster Card, it shouldn't come as too big of a surprise that there are 1,650 restaurants serving oysters (long-considered nature's best aphrodisiac). London has proven itself to be the perfect city to put you in the mood before you go snogging and shagging.

Paris does hold its own in this regard, though. The City of Lights landed the #2 spot for best city to munch on some oysters before you munch on... well... whatever you want in your mouth after dinner. Paris offers 4,158 champagne bars and 849 restaurants that serve oysters. Paris is week two of my Cybersocket Abroad journey, so maybe I'll have to make my Grindr profile, "Into Oyster Play, bro?"

If you were to focus in on JUST the kinkiest cities, London still takes the proverbial crown. The study characterizes kinks as the number of sex events, number of people on OnlyFans, and the number of porn stars named after the city. Berlin does fall higher on just these metrics, taking the #3 spot, but Sin City eeks it out for the #2 spot.

The study also took a look at another metric as part of their research, which is focused specifically on The United Kingdom. Live across the pond? Want to know if your man is fucking someone behind your back? Well, this study has determined that not only is London seductive as fuck... not only is London kinky as fuck... but London is also the Top Cheating City In the U.K. Yikes. You're a city that exists in an island, London. All of your borders are open, so why cheat instead of just opening things up? With 168,322 people having affairs, I guess infidelity is just Londoner's cup of tea.
