Angel Rincon Wins Mr. LA Leather 2022 at Los Angeles Leather Pride

Los Angeles Leather Pride returned this weekend and hosted its first Mr. LA Leather competition since the pandemic, and the big winner is Angel Rincon.

Mr. LA Leather first began in 2000 and has awarded the regional title annually until 2020. Produced by the Los Angeles Leather Coalition (LALC), Mr. Los Angeles Leather is a competition between title holders from 10 LA area bars and clubs. In addition to Angel, the 2022 contestants included Colton Stenke (Mr Eagle LA Leather 2020), Joey Byrne (Mr Eagle562 Leather 2020), Christian Medina (Mr Faultline Leather 2020), Joe (Mr. Christopher Street West Leather 2020), Romyn (Mr. SoCal Leather 2020), Brandon Bullet (Mr. Bullet Leather 2020), Alan Gabriel (Mr. Los Angeles Leather Bear 2020), and Francisco The Navy Cub (Mr. Sancturay Leather 2019).

Angel Rincon is the Mr. Sister Leather 2020 title holder, winning the Los Angeles Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence contest. He was born in the city of Colton California 40 years ago. Angel is a total Cancer and wears his heart on his sleeve. He has participated in the AIDS Life Cycle and was also a member of the PAYASOS, where he helped with fundraising for many local and regional organizations. During the pandemic, he taught himself how to sew and sold masks from California to France. He identifies as a boy and loves to please people. He also loves his houndstooth and is a happy versatile blouse. A true Butch Queen who is unapologetic about it, he has a little quote he’s become known for: it’s not about me, it’s about the community.
