We always regret having missed the heydey of aviator sunglasses, chest hair, and non-ironic popper use—all of which, presumably, figure in Joseph Lovett's documentary film "Gay Sex in the 70s". Premiering at the Tribeca Film Festival this past spring and currently making its way around the gay film festival circuit, the film "takes a steamy look at the period post-Stonewall, pre-AIDS when gay men experienced an unprecendented freedom". Mmm, steamy. We can almost smell those poppers already.
