Kink In Print: Ulli Richter Photography

If Ulli Richter's photographs didn't involve things like double-headed dildo threeways and hot muscle daddies fucking each other with large pieces of industrial equipment, you might expect some of his colorful, detail-rich tableaus to appear as double page ad spreads in Genre or Men's Vogue: beautifully shot and lovingly composed, they occupy a fetish-flavored area somewhere between still life, fashion photography, and good old fashioned down-and-dirty BDSM smut. In fact, we think that maybe Richter should start trying to find a wider audience for his work outside of the couple of London and Munich galleries where he's exhibited over the last couple of years and lend his talents towards more high-profile commercial ventures. Those glossy Dolce & Gabbana ads we keep coming across in fashion rags are starting to look awfully predictable by comparison.
