Obama Announced He Will Join Bono For World AIDS Day

CELEBRITY

Just when we were beginning to think we may never see him again, Zaddy Barack Obama is back and fighting for good causes! The former POTUS, who we really miss looking at every day (for many reasons), has announced that he will team up with Bono, Coca-Cola, Project RED, and many others for World AIDS Day, which falls on December 1.

During an episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Obama made the announcement in a short clip.

"Jimmy Kimmel is not just a talk show host, he's an activist. Bono is not just a musician, he's ringmaster of a home shopping extravaganza. And me? I'm a husband who hasn't done his Christmas shopping yet," he said in the video.

"When it comes to the fight against HIV and AIDS, there is some genuinely good news to share. For the first time in history, more than half of all people living with the virus are on life-saving medication.  Since the peak of the virus, AIDS related viruses half been cut in half."

Of course after finishing his message and dedicating time and efforts to the ongoing fight against HIV/AIDS, Obama ended on a more light-hearted note. Air Force One dad jokes ensued while he asked viewers to donate to the cause during the show's airing.

"If you do, you can pilot Air Force One for a day."

Guy off screen: "No, we can't do that anymore."

Barack: "We can't do that anymore? OK, if you do, I'll share our files of the aliens!"

Guy off screen: "We can't do that."

Barack: "No?  We can't do that either, but I have them, they are in my desk."

Oh, Barry! You may no longer have executive power, but at least you've still got your jokes and dashing good looks. There's no telling what he'll wear for his appearance alongside the U2 frontman, but I hope it takes place on a beach.
