‘Nurse Jackie’ Actor Haaz Sleiman Comes Out As Gay

CELEBRITY

Super hot Lebanese-American actor Haaz Sleiman, who played Mohammed 'Mo-Mo' De La Cruz on Showtime's Nurse Jackie, has chosen to finally live his life in the open as a gay Muslim man.

The 41-year-old posted a video on his Instagram, in which he not only announced his sexuality, but that he is also a bottom. Haaz even goes as far as admitting he's a total bottom, to which he adds "which means I like it up you-know-where."

As someone who now has sees him as competition (yeah, right), I'll admit that I'm still very happy for him and proud of him for having the courage to be true to himself. So good for you, Haaz! You get it!

Haaz also used his moment to shed some light for those out there who are not only unsupportive of LGBT people, but have hatred in their hearts for no goddamn reason. "To all the homophobes living in the United States of America and across the globe,” he says, “Why not? If you ever come to me to kill me just because I’m gay, I will destroy you. I might be gay, and I might be a nice guy, but don’t get it twisted because I will fuck you up."

He looks like he could take anyone down, so I wouldn't dismiss his words, y'all.

Check out his "official" coming out video:

Earlier this months, Haaz has posted a few pics that seemed to drop some not-so-subtle hints. He posted one of himself wearing a t-shirt with a pretty bold statement on it, and another pic of him kissing another dude. The posts were pretty blatant, but there was nothing really set in stone (and frankly, who are we to judge?), so we waited patiently.

Rocking this t-shirt on the streets of Beirut. ????

Haaz also addressed an incident from a 2009 interview with The Advocate, in which he claims he was blindsided by a very personal question. Moreover, he regrets not doing the right thing in the moment when he had the chance.

"At the end of the half hour interview over the phone the idiot interviewer, whom I think was gay, asked me if was gay or straight. I was so shocked. I froze. My body started shaking. And then I lied and said I was straight. Shame on gay people who are not kind to other gay people. He did that on purpose," said Sleiman.

We all know it's not easy coming out, and we also know there are going to be regrets along the way. Like many of us, Haaz seems to be learning from his past and moving forward in the right way.

It is also good to know that all of those dreams I had about Mo-Mo weren't all for nothing. As far as that statement about being a total bottom -- pics or it didn't happen.
