Hot Out Olympian & Hockey Player Nico Keenan Gets Engaged

Some guys have all the luck! When one stud gets engaged to another stud, we just sit and smile and clap slowly. We can't even get past Date Number 2. Sigh. Kidding. This last week, bisexual Olympian and field hockey player Nico Keenan got engaged to his long-time boyfriend, Dutch politician Rob Jetten.

Nico took part in the Paris Olympics Team LGBTQ along with 20 other out male athletes. Representing his native country of Argentina, he was originally just a reserve for the Olympic national team due to a hamstring injury, watching from the bleachers. During the Games, he was brought in to play and the team ended up beating New Zealand. Nico's now-fiance Jetten was watching from the spectator bleachers.

Although Nico plays for the Argentinian national field hockey team, he moved to the Hague in 2016 to play for top-flight professional club HC Klein Zwitserland. Jetten is the former Deputy Prime Minister of the Netherlands. According to them, they lived close to each other and ran into each other, and have been together for over two and a half years. Was this a chance meeting or maybe a Grindr coupling? In any case, they are the power couple of the Netherlands where sports and politics come together in a very sexy coupling that sounds like a Hallmark movie. We'd love to see the adult version of that movie.

Hockey is in Nico's blood. His father was a hockey player and Keenan's older brother is also in the sport. When he was just 12 years old, Nico headed to Spain to play for Club Egara for 6 years, then moved to the Hague. He made his Olympic debut at the Tokyo Games in 2020 and made a splash helping the team win against Japan, earning the Best Goal by fans.

In addition to the Olympic Games, he was instrumental in helping Argentina win the gold medal at the Pan American Games in Lima and Santiago.

After the Tokyo Olympics, Keenan suffered a series of setbacks including his parent's divorce and breaking up with his girlfriend (yes, he really is bisexual). He took six months off and went into therapy.

Wedding plans for the two will have to wait as Nico is heading off to play in India for a couple of months. We just want to be invited to the bachelor party!
