In his first online interview, Travis shares about his transition from musician to sex worker and what his plans are for this new endeavor.

Let's start with a few basics: Name? Age? Hometown? Occupation?

Travis (Taylor) Xo. 34. I'm originally from San Francisco. I am a singer-songwriter and now a porn actor

How did you come up with your Stage Name?

Travis was born at Rocco’s in West Hollywood. I was out with one of my best friends and we were joking about what my stage name would be he said Travis jokingly because it just felt like another part of me and not a whole new person. So I kept my other stage name last name which is “Xo” and just made it Travis Xo.

Could you share your background in San Francisco with us?

I was growing up a little outside of the city in Sonoma but also in the city a lot with family. I always felt like I belonged more in a city than in the suburbs, so anytime I had a chance to escape, I would.

How did you discover music? Tell us how you became a musician and your career in music.

My mom instilled music in my life as early as I can remember. She would sing Janet, Earth Wind and Fire, Diana Ross, and Alicia Keys. So when I started my music career I wanted to honor her by starting in the genre she loved which was R&B. Since then I grew into more genres and explored more sounds but always kept the R&B foundation. I’ve been lucky enough to tour, travel, and headline a lot of Prides and iconic venues such as the Viper Room and House Of Blues.

How would you describe your music? Genre? Style? Feel? Comparables?

My style and genre I feel is constantly changing as I get older. I have a general aesthetic that’s always black on black haha. My music is whatever is inspiring me at the time. I’ve come to just say I’m “Genre Agnostic”. I don’t claim a genre and don’t like to be labeled as one thing or another which goes the same for my sexuality.

How has this transitioned into Gay Porn?

Well, that’s a complicated question. I’ve always had a tough relationship with my body and with my sexuality. I recently came out as pansexual two years ago and have been living as authentically me as possible. That slowly made me want to explore more parts of my life and sex is a huge part of it; I look at it as another way of expressing art and creativity.

How has the experience been so far? Surprises? Challenges?

So far…it’s been exactly what I thought it’d be. Obviously, it’s not going to be sunshine and rainbows. It’s very much like the music industry. There are cliques, people who care only about follower count, checking who you’ve worked with, etc. I’d say the music industry actually prepared me for the adult industry perfectly. Not everyone is gonna want to work with you and not everyone is gonna like you but the ones that do make it fun and worth working in.

Do you think your work as a musician applies to your sex work? How so?

Yeah besides preparing me for this industry I believe it also prepared me creatively too. Just like everyone has a genre of music they enjoy, they have a nice of porn they enjoy. So I’m looking forward to exploring those and being able to come up with cool concepts of things for my collaborations and me to do.

What are your plans moving forward?

We could sit here all day and I could tell you the million things I want to do. My immediate plans in the next two months are to finish my certification for personal training and film a lot of collaborations. But long way down the road I’d like to have apparel, my own site, and really just bring the whole XO brand together.

Any interest in studio work? Scenarios? Scene partners? etc.

Studio work sounds fun and I’m definitely open to it. Scenarios I’m open to most kinda just depends on what it is honestly. And if I’m interested then let’s gooooo. Scene partners?? Damn. The list is LONG. I was lucky enough to just work with a legend Reese Rideout and that was so much fun. One of the best humans I’ve ever met and spent time with. I would love to work with Drew Valentino. He’s so funny and I think our humor is so similar. I’d love to work with Jkab Ethan Dale, Xavier Blanco, Tyler Reese, Jordan and Ty Santana, Dean Michaelz, Max Konnor for surrreeee, and so many more.

Let's hear a little more about you. Who is Travis? interests? Hobbies? Beliefs?

Travis (Taylor) is constantly growing. I think I spent all of my 20s trying to be what other people wanted and in my thirties, I’ve just been discovering myself. I’m constantly learning more not just about myself but also wanting to educate myself more on so much of the world. My hobbies always revolve around music and anything creative to be honest. I wanna see and try anything creative at least once. My beliefs have always been simple. Treat others the way you want to be treated and don’t take shit from anyone.

What do you think it takes to be a true "Porn Star"? Do you have it?

I would say there’s a lot of “porn actors” versus “porn stars”. There are so few of the STARS left. I think what it takes to be a Porn Star is longevity and relevance and there’s so many creators that come and go so I think constantly evolving and staying relevant really is what earns you the right to say “Porn Star”. I’m probably gonna get trolled for that haha but whatever. And do I have what it takes? Guess you’ll just have to see me fuck around and find out.
