Top International Gay Beach Destinations

Our friends at GayCities know how much some of us gays love the beaches and have put a list together of top destinations around the world. We grabbed the top gay beaches overseas that are the perfect destination that are both beautiful locales, filled with beautiful men, and LGBTQ-centric and friendly. We know what's happening around the world toward the queer community, we want to go where we are safe and where we are wanted. Here are our top faves.

Ipanema, Rio

We know that old song "The Girl From Ipanema" but we might as well make a new version "The Gays From Ipanema." An area running through Ipanema is referred to as Farme Gay, their answer to West Hollywood. has a beautiful beach, nightlife, and plenty of hot gays. They also refer to the area as Barbie Land, and the hot, hung Brazilians that populate the area are Barbies. C'mon Barbie, let's go party. Mark this off your travel bucket.

North Bondi Beach, Sydney

We've all had our Australian men fantasies, thank you, Hugh Jackman. What better way to get your own hot Australian than by booking your next travel to the hot hunky magic land. The north end of Bondi Beach gets gayer and naughtier the more you explore. There are clubs and scantily clad beachgoers. It is not designated as a gay beach officially, but those who know, know. The water surrounding this portion of beach is also the best to swim in, according to the locals.

Elia Beach, Mykonos

Greece, ah Greece, the travel destination much for any gay who owns a speedo (or who likes to watch). Elia beach has crystal clear waters, a cruising area, and a nude beach area. Do we need to say more? It is one of the largest beaches on Mykonos. Make sure to bring a beach bag to put your speedo and lube in.

Hilton Beach, Tel Aviv

There's a beautiful gay beach located conveniently next to the Hilton Hotel in Tel Aviv. Find your mate and host in your hotel room while never missing the beach view! It is considered the nicest and most upscale beach in the area, somewhat secluded, and very cruisy.

Manuel Antonio Beach, Costa Rica

If being part of nature and wildlife is your jam, this beach is for you. It celebrates the LGBTQ community but is literally in the thick of things. The city nearby has gay bars, clubs, and gay accommodations. Throw care to the wind and enjoy a truly immersive travel experience.
