OnlyFans Unwrapped: Your First Content

Alrighty! Last time we checked in, we covered creating your username and writing your bio. How you first present yourself to potential subscribers is key. In this edition of OnlyFans Unwrapped, we are going to talk about the basics of getting started.

First things first. If you aren't well-known or don't have an established brand yet, consider making a separate free and paid profile. With a free profile, you can post teasers (without giving it all away) and pics that would be banned on social media and give potential fans a taste and an urge to subscribe to your paid platform. You will get a lot of traffic this way, especially if you promote it on all your socials that you have free adult content available. Make sure the free content is tantalizing enough without giving away the actual product so fans can't help themselves but click "subscribe."

When you first hit the market on your paid profile, you should launch with a handful of scenes/pics so that there is already material available to offer subscribers. If they see you only have a few posts, they will be hesitant to pay up if there isn't much content. That being said, the first scenes that you make public are very important. Put your best foot, or other body part, forward. Putting out a mediocre product just to get out there won't help, once a potential fan swipes past you, you've lost it.

Use social media to ramp up the launch of your OnlyFans. If you already have OnlyFans, use social media to ramp up a new type of scene or genre that you are offering. Social media is your friend. Do social media live sessions in your underwear, post SFW teaser vids, and use social media as much as you can to generate free traffic. We will do another Unwrapped just about social media, stay tuned.

The setup. Yes, you may be filming in your bedroom, but that doesn't mean that we need to see all your knick-knacks and laundry. Clear the space. The focus of the content should be on you (and fellow collaborators). Keeping a simple background/environment will make it easy each time you need to film. Throw all your excess crap out of view and just keep it sleek and clean. Too much clutter is distracting and a bit off-putting. Let the fantasy center on you and what's happening on the sofa/in bed, wherever. It doesn't have to be fancy, you don't need an elaborate setup. Unless you are an interior decorator, your fans won't care but they don't want to see a messy room either. Also, have everything you need for your scene ready at hand - lube, towels, whatever. Don't waste time and editing needs to go find stuff during a scene, it's distracting. Also, this is a big also, keep the pets and poppers out of the shot. That will get your content banned.

When you first start your OnlyFans, you don't need a Hollywood-style set. BUT, you do need good lighting. There are simple, affordable, free-standing lighting rigs available on Amazon, spend the money on them. Bad lighting will create shadows that can hide what you are trying to sell, and it adds a grainy quality to the camera. It isn't worth it. Fans need to see what they are paying for. Do a simple lighting test and check the camera to see where shadows are falling, and what needs some lighting.

Yes, you can start your content by using an iPhone. Most content creators start off that way. That being said, make sure the phone is close enough to the action so you don't have to Zoom and give up definition. Make sure the phone is on a tripod or such (again, affordable off of Amazon), and be mindful of where the phones are and the angles they capture.  Usually, a two-phone setup works. One for a side profile, and one for a head-on caption. For fun, you can incorporate a handheld point of view, but sometimes Fans think that is distracting and will require more editing. Don't be afraid to ask collaborators what equipment they have, everyone wants the content to look good. As you start making money and building your fan base, you will want to invest in high-def cameras. The quality is better and is easy to transfer the content to editing software.

Make sure you take photo stills from your content sessions. You can use these as teasers for the video itself and can use the SFW ones on social media. Do fun poses with collaborators, take underwear and feet pics (they do very well), and do funny BTS stuff - fans love that. If you are filming with a collaborator, take advantage of them being there and do some fun TikTok vids. Do some vids of you just kissing and caressing, that's all a teaser.

Above all, have fun. Your first content is not going to be perfect, you will learn along the way. If your Fans see hot content and see that you are having fun and enjoying it, they will too. Just be mindful of these starter tips to put your best brand forward at the start.
