See Jacob Elordi & Zachary Quinto In a New Gay Movie

6'5 Australian hunk Jacob Elordi is fucking EVERYWHERE right now. The 26-year-old model and actor first broke out on Netflix's rom-com The Kissing Booth but then he blew up thanks to his more mature performances as Nate Jacobs in HBO's hit Euphoria, Elvis in the dark biopic Priscilla and Felix in the sexy thriller Saltburn. Next year, he'll appear alongside out gay actor, sexy screen star Zachary Quinto in He Went That Way.

He Went That Way is a gay true-crime thriller based on the non-fiction book Luke Karamazov by Conrad Hilberry and the movie adaptation marks the directorial debut of the late Jeffrey Darling. The film made its debut at the famed Tribeca Film Festival in 2023 and will be released in January of 2024.

He Went That Way stars Jacob Elordi as Bobby Falls, a young man based on real-life serial killer Larry Lee Ranes, and Zachary Quinto as Jim Goodwin, a character based on celebrity animal trainer Dave Pitts, who was the sole survivor of Larry's killing spree. Set during a road trip on Route 66 in 1964, Quinto's character is traveling cross country with one of his famed trained chimps and picks up Elordi's character as a hitchhiker. Soon he realizes this hitchhiker is a wanted man and he must think on his feet in order to survive this fateful trip.

While the true story isn't overtly gay — the guys didn't bang it out or anything — there is a homoerotic tinge to the suspenseful thriller. Why else cast Quinto with the hottest up-and-coming heartthrob? At the film's NYC premiere, Quinto said, “I wouldn’t say it’s an overtly queer story, but I will say that there are undertones of both emotional and physical tension between these two characters.”

He Went That Way will make it's mainstream debut in 2024, opening in select theaters around the country on January 5, with a digital release on streaming beginning January 12. Check out He Went That Way's official trailer below:
