TV and movie star Patrick Dempsey has been in the game for three decades, and during that time (thanks to his one-of-a-kind good looks), he amassed a huge fan base. He was nominated for an Emmy Award and two Golden Globes but now he's won the biggest title: People's Sexiest Man Alive. Yes, somehow Patrick Demsey has never won the title before! He joked with People about having always been the bridesmaid and never the bride all these years. But now it's his moment! All hail Patrick Dempsey, the world's sexiest man alive (according to People Magazine).

Patrick Dempsey first won our hearts in the '80s romantic comedies Can't Buy Me Love (1987) and Loverboy (1989). He went on to appear in the movies Sweet Home Alabama, Enchanted, Bridget Jones Baby, and memorably on TV in Will & Grace and Once & Again. Though let's be real, to most people, Patrick Dempsey will always be "McDreamy", the dashing neurosurgeon Derek Shepherd in Shonda Rhimes' iconic and long-running medical drama Grey's Anatomy. This year, in addition to the prestigious Sexiest Man Alive title, Patrick Dempsey starred as Piero Taruffi in the biographical sports drama Ferrari, which is perfect because Patrick's also passionate about race car driving.
