Throwback Thursday Remembers Recently Departed Hank Hightower with a Visual Eulogy

Well, it's a sad time for yer boy Hank here. One of my all-time favorite performers, Hank Hightower, died peacefully in his home on November 1, after losing his battle with cancer. He was 57. I'm going to keep this short and sweet, and allow you to go roam the internet for clips and videos of this great guy's body of work.

Henry Robert Hightower burst onto the scene in the early '90s and left an indelible mark, not only for his smoldering good looks and sexual versatility but for his kindness and professionalism. Remembrances have been pouring onto the internet with fond memories, not only of his iconic porn work, but of his post-porn activism and volunteer work. It's been requested that should you be so moved, please donate to your local animal shelter in his name as he was an avid canine rescue and care advocate.

On a personal note, can I just say that this guy was one of the hottest men to watch "back in the day." He had a quiet intensity about him that evoked a powerful masculinity, unleashed as both a top and a bottom. He was the original Muscle Cub, and looked amazing in fetish gear, be it leather, or grubby jeans with a plaid shirt unbuttoned to reveal his gorgeous chest and torso. No one, and I mean no one looked better in a jockstrap! As Bear World Magazine’s Editor-in-Chief John Hernandez can attest, "Hank Hightower may be the hottest bear porn star of all time."

Men were enthralled watching him top a fellow hirsute hottie, but of course, I preferred to watch him bottom. Watching his sweaty, beefy buns get spread, licked and plowed was simply magical. It proved you didn't need to be a smooth, pretty gym bunny. Hightower was all man, whether he was standing in an alley feeding some stud, or bent over and taking it hard and fast. And, oh man, when his sweat started to run down his furry chest, one can only imagine his musky scent was better than poppers!
