Paul Wagner Talks About His Career in Porn and Starring in ‘Overdrive’

Just living a quiet life outside of filming hot content. LOL

You have been in the industry for a while now. Could you tell us a bit about your history in the business? 

I think it’s been close to 15 years now. Time flies! Haha. When I started, I didn’t think it would be such a long-term thing. I’m sure some people think I should just disappear already, haha. I started at Sean Cody and then jumped around a lot. I’ve worked with a lot of the major studios over the years. I focus more on my OnlyFans these days, but I still enjoy working with some of the studios. It’s been quite a journey for sure, lots of ups and downs through the years, but I have always found some really great aspects of being in this business that I focus on. I spent about 8-9 years working behind the camera on the production end of things, but I have moved on from that recently to focus more on going back to what I studied in college.

What has kept you going in the industry? What is the secret to your longevity?

Yeah, I’ve been around the block a few times. I’m surprised I’ve lasted this long, to be honest — LOL. I would say that a large part of my longevity would be the fans. I’ve been very lucky to have very loyal and loving fans. Thankfully, they are a large part of my success. I’ve never really been the guy who studios back hard and put the effort into to brand. I’ve always credited my popularity to the people who watch my videos. I’ve never understood my own appeal, but I appreciate it — haha. Outside of the fans, I would say a large part of why I haven’t been chewed up in this business is that I don’t take it too seriously. I try not to make it my whole world, and I am not overly active on social media. For as great as the internet is to connect with each other, it’s become a place for a lot of nasty, mean-spirited people. Being in porn seems a bit more mainstream these days than back when I started. I couldn’t tell you how many times I’ve heard that I was ruining my life doing this and that I’d never be able to get a job, etc. I think one of the main factors in my being around so long is that I had this overwhelming urge to prove the naysayers wrong. I could do this and be successful, not only in this business but in life in general, and I feel like I have.

Please tell us all about your latest film "Overdrive"? 

Overdrive was a blast to film. I haven’t worked with Raging Stallion for a long time, and this was a great opportunity to work for the brand again. Everyone who worked on the movie really made the whole experience a lot of fun. It’s action-packed — LOL.

Raging Stallion has become known as one of the premiere studios. How do you like working for them? 

Working with them is great. It was a great movie to come back for after such a long break. Ben Rush was so much fun, and we all had a great time filming. It was great having a familiar face there, too. Steve Cruz was there back when I worked for Raging Stallion many years ago. The days were long, but they were worth it. I think the movie is great.

They are known for doing really elaborate productions, with complicated stories and characters much more like a mainstream movie. How do you like this? What is it like and how does it elevate having sex on film? 

I think the acting/storyline aspect of the movie is really fun. It’s something different to do creatively than just fucking on camera, and that’s a nice change. Personally, for me, the storyline doesn’t elevate the sex that much. Ben will probably hate that I said that. Sex is sex to me; the best part of the sex scenes is the connection and passion between the scene partners.

How was filming your scene in Overdrive? How did you and your scene partners connect? 

I did two scenes in Overdrive, and both were great. I couldn’t have asked for better scene partners. I hadn’t worked with Derek Kage or Sean Xavier before, and both were so nice and great to work with. Sean is very handsome and has a huge dick — LOL. Derek was a blast. I’ve always been a sucker for guys with light eyes – and he’s got that deep voice!

What is your favorite thing about sex? About sex on film? 

My favorite thing about sex is the connection and the kissing. Kissing is my favorite thing to do. I could do it for hours. I am very passionate in bed. I like real sex; I think bringing each other pleasure is such a turn-on. If I am with someone who is really turned on and excited, I am all about it.

What are your plans for your future in porn? Who are some performers you'd still like to work with? Scenes or acts you'd like to explore?

I don’t know what the future holds for me in this business. We will see, I guess. I’d like to be around for a while more, but I suppose, at some point, I’ll get put out to pasture – hopefully not kicking and screaming. Hahah. I think a lot of it will be doing my OnlyFans. I really like connecting with everyone on there; it’s a lot of fun chatting and getting to know my fans. I always have guys I’d like to work with, and the list changes a lot.

Who is Paul Wagner outside of making hot porn? Hobbies? Interests? Beliefs?

That’s a good question. I’m an extremely introverted person. I like to be active, build things, and do handyman projects for myself and my friends. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve seen a shift in the things that I value most in life. I like to focus on genuine connections and living a quiet, well-balanced life these days. I like the outdoors and would definitely be considered a homebody to most people.
