We’re getting to know the stunning and talented Reign LaRue! Reign is an incredible queen from Houston, Texas! If you know Texas drag, you know these girls don’t play! How did you get your drag name?

I wanted something that screamed THAT BITCH. So I googled synonyms for Queen and REIGN was in that family.

How long have you been doing drag?

We’re going on 6 years!

When is your birthday? How old are you?

I’m a February Diva! I just turned 29!

Relationship status?

I am taken and happily engaged to my Lupe Salas!

What was your first time in drag like?

My first time in drag was nerve-wracking! I forgot to wear lashes!

What made you want to start doing drag?

I’ve always been a performer! Once I found out about local drag, it was a wrap!

Who inspires your drag (celebrities, other queens, etc.)?

The one and only, Beyoncé!

Favorite song/artist to lip sync to?

I’m a melting pot of choices. I don’t have a favorite! I love them all. But yes, there’s a soft spot for Beyoncé!

Maybe...

What’s your favorite thing about drag?

Definitely, the feeling I get from performing. Which allows me to inspire others! Sounds corny but that’s the tea!

What are your hobbies outside of drag?

Since I’m a full-time diva, I like to do nothing as of now. Is that horrible to say? Time on my couch with my dog.

What’s the craziest thing you’ve witnessed in a dressing room?

I don’t think I’m allowed to say here but it was WILD! Trust.

Biggest pet peeve about audiences in nightclubs?

This is a tricky one! But audiences who lack energy! Definitely is a vibe killer!

Any advice for someone wanting to start doing drag?

Remember to stay true to who you are! Have fun and break a lash!
