Welcome back to a new week! It was pretty slow in the full-length area, with only a reissue and an EP catching my eye, but they were solid pieces of work. The singles, though, girlies! The remixes! They were hitting. Let's dive in.
Nymph_o x ShyGirl
Back with a deluxe, Nymph-o is a remix collaboration with many of Shy's favorite people. Her debut is littered with pop, hyper/dream pop, and trap beats. She expertly curated her rerelease to sound as fresh as it did when the original dropped.
Key Track: "Playboy / Positions" - a one-touch punch about being out with her girls and meeting up with the dopest one out until she cheekily says, "Wait, let me just change positions quickly," and the song drops into a base and claps assisted about switching positions in bed and feeling real sexy.
Southern Delicacy x Jai' Len Josey
The girl next up in R&B and soul has dropped her second EP, and it is, mmm, mmm, fucking good. It opens with a beautiful symphony, akin to the opening of a Disney movie, and then the trumpets kick in, and if you weren't sold, now you are. On each song, Jai Len commands your attention; you can hear every word clearly, the blends and musicality performing a gorgeous union for Josey to preside over.
Key Track: "Man In Your Bed" - halfway through, Jai' Len gets down with a boogie beat about a man coming home late and knowing where she should be laying instead.
Single drop:
The rappers came out:
"Princess Diana" (remix) x Ice Spice, Nicki Minaj
The Queen has crowned her princess and hopped on her song about her city. The masses went ham for the collaboration because it is excellent. Some are saying Nicki's verse wasn't enough, but my take? She got on this young female rapper's song and rapped her lyrics. What other cosign does she need? Wait, to be signed in a label partnership with Minaj's new label. Stop playing with 'em, Riottt.

"Ball and Chain (Inner City Remix)" x Cakes Da Killa, Inner City
Cakes is gearing up for the release of his remix project for Svengali. With this version of "Ball and Chain" sounding like it was cut right out of the Muvaland era, Cakes knows who he is and his lane. The girls better watch out.

"Da Girls (remix)" x Ciara, Lola Brooke, Lady London
Ciara decided to add some oomph to her empowerment anthem with Lola Brooke and Lady London, spitting their version of for da girls.

"Kill Bill (remix)" x Sza, Doja Cat
Doja tweeted at Sza a few days before the remix dropped that she did "something bad," Immediately, everyone speculated a remix. Lo & behold, they dropped a remix to Sza's hit song on her sophomore album, SOS. Doja depicts in a storytelling fashion that she stalks and accidentally kills her ex's next but wonders if the bullet was really for him. Doja is gearing up for her next release, which she says will be a real rap album, since trollers and hater say she can't rap. I love when artists let the art do the talking. I am excited. I love Doja.
"Hot Sauce" x Fivio Foreign
The Drill beat boy flies solo, boasting about his status and how much he carries in the streets.
Talk to me about the Pop / R&B kids:
"Bubblegum" x Dawn Richard
Though the track is heavily rap-influenced, Dawn is still one of the signing girlies!
"Dancing in The Courthouse" x Dominic Fike
Dominic Fike takes us into his next era with guitars and the sound of summer. You tell me this doesn't sound like a campfire song! Be daring is his simple message.

"Try Me" x Jorja Smith
On a bold new track, Jorja talks about putting yourself out there in front of a world of opinions. The track is mixed with subtle bells and a baseline against the drums.
"Emotional" x Njomza
The singer-songwriter sings about her emotional desperation for her love over futuristic synths and a dance club-ready beat. Can't wait to feel this in the club with that guy I'll meet for one night.
"Mine / Me" x Kelly Clarkson
Kelly Clarkson returns with a doozy two-hitter of heartbreak and pulls herself up. Strings, piano melodies, and choirs assist her majestic voice as sing belts her heart out.
"Finally" x, Jonas Blue, Rani
Jonas Blue is back with a song to tear the summer festivals up alongside Rani!
"Curious" x Shenseea
Shenseea returns on the scene with a dancehall track about her occasional lure to the same sex. It oozes with sex; just check out the music video.
A salty fan RuView:
The Ru Paul finale aired this past Friday, and my two front runners were knocked out of the semi-finals. Congratulations to Sasha DOWN, but as a Jersey they/them, I was rooting for my girl Luxx and the heavy-weight champ Mistress, but such is life, but here are their original numbers that were so damn entertaining.
"It's Giving Fashion (Luxx Noir London)" x The Cast of Ru Paul's Drag Race
The ultimate lewk girl gave us the perfect fashion house club-ready jam. I am strutting down the Bushwick streets to this all summer. The only thing I am listening to in the thrift store dressing rooms.

"Delusion (Mistress Isabelle Brooks)" x The Cast of Ru Paul's Drag Race
Playing the game right, MIB took her "the girls have drag delusion" and marketed it perfectly. This track is so catchy. Bitch, I'm the cure for your drag delusion!
