Hello! Welcome to another fierce week at Hey Gurl Productions Incorporated! I’m back with another brand-new episode of Hey Gurl! With Jordan Jayro! And this week, my guest is the sexy diva herself, Karma Lush! I have known Karma since I first started doing drag, and we’ve been friends ever since. Karma is a lip-sync superstar and fierce makeup artist. She’s always a hoot and a holler in a dressing room, so I knew I needed to get her on the pod! We talked about everything from drag to Calabasas to dick and everything in between!

We opened the episode with me once again complaining about the weather. I’m starting to realize that maybe I care so much about the weather because it does impact my mood. No one wants to be fierce and funny when it’s cloudy outside! And if you live in Southern California, you probably are just as confused and annoyed as I am about the weather we’ve been having. I will not rest until I am tan on the beach in a Speedo! I deserve it, it’s my gay right!

Karma touched on the fact that she hadn’t been able to work out recently because she was injured. I am happy to report that she is healed! Our queen is officially back in full form. Soon after, the “pay your dues” conversation came up. Many queens felt like newer queens should work for free until they have “earned” their right to a paid spot. I argued that I was being offered paid spots within a year of drag, even though some girls feel like that was not fair. I told Karma the story of how a queen would continuously make fun of me calling me “baby queen” amongst other things. One day I finally got sick of it and reminded her that she had been doing drag for several years, and I was barely one year in. And yet here we are working the same show, making the same check. So the moral of the story is: mind your business and respect others.

The conversation came to a screeching halt when Karma revealed that she is only 24 years old. I take back all the times I called her daddy on Instagram. I mentioned the time Karma and I were in a drag competition that she won and I did not. We reminisced about the times we spent working at a venue that is no longer around, and all the messiness that occurred there. We talked about the time I did a show there and Colleen Ballinger was in the audience! She's the genius behind Miranda Sings! I was so shook and starstruck. Karma shared some fun interactions she had backstage. Listen to the end for all the tea! There is never a dull moment in queer nightlife!

We felt like it was only fair to end the episode with a discussion about dick. I addressed the thirst trap Karma posted just before recording this episode. I support anyone and everyone posting thirst traps for attention! Just do it! Of course, I asked Karma if she had ever hooked up with another queen.
