Jordan Jayro’s Drag Race Season 15 Recap: Reunited

Oh my goodness! We’ve made it to the reunion! That means this season is almost over! Everybody say, “Awww.”!! I’m so excited for next week’s finale, but I don’t want it to be over!! I wonder how long it’ll be before All Stars airs… something tells me it’ll be sooner than you think! The streets are talking! And by streets I mean because All Stars almost always airs right after the regular season.

The queens of season 15 are reuniting, and they’re ready to let loose!! See what I did there?! The episode begins with each of the queens showing their looks and saying a little Real Housewives tagline. I can see many of the girls have had glow-ups! I did not like Jax’s look. And I didn’t really like anything she wore this season. But my goodness that bitch can lip-sync the house down. Princess Poppy has the most iconic look!! If you clocked the reference, you’re a true Drag Race fan! Sasha Colby is out here looking like everyone’s sexual preference. So stunning! And the twins paid homage to the Lizzie McGuire movie!! I’m obsessed!!

The first thing mentioned was the alleged thievery by Mistress Isabelle Brooks. This was in reference to the Twitter drama surrounding Mistress stealing the RuPaul book used as a prop in the Rusical. Only to later find out it was someone from production’s personal copy. Whoops! She then tried to throw Anetra under the bus for allegedly stealing a light bulb from the stage. I don’t blame them!! I support the girls stealing. Take a sewing machine, a chair, or a pit crew member, I don’t care! It’s just a souvenir.

Sugar and Spice were the next topics of conversation. Being the first pair of twins competing on the show, they made such an impact. I really enjoy them both! And their references in drag speak to me! I need these two to have a reality show ASAP. Several of the queens mentioned not fully understanding the twins when they first met. I get it, being in the club scene is very different from being an internet queen. But my favorite thing about Drag Race is seeing all kinds of queens being brought together. And watching the conflict ensue.

Of course, they brought up the queens arguing over who ranked where each week. Drag delusion is so real! I never got why these hoes would nitpick about who was where when everyone was safe. It doesn’t matter! Girl, you lost. Move on. It is fun to watch them fight though. Then there was the Luxx versus Loosey tea. These two were constantly arguing over who was better. Honey, that’s a lot of emotion for safe.

Now comes the part where the queens revisit some iconic lip-syncs from the season. First was Sasha versus Anetra. Girl, that lip sync was fire!!!! I watch it at least once a week. Next was Michelle Visage’s favorite lip sync of all time: Marcia versus Anetra! That’s the one where Anetra did a flip over Marcia. Ru says that the Internet wanted it to be a double save. I agree! But I’m glad someone went home.

RuPaul loves trying to play matchmaker with drag queens! So of course he brought up Robin Fierce and Amethyst dating in the past. It seems like they both remember things differently. I’m sure somewhere in the middle is the truth. Ru asks Aura if she had a crush on anyone, and she says she had a crush on Poppy. And Poppy said the feeling was mutual!! Just in time for Aura to announce that she’s engaged! This is all so messy and I love it.

Robin’s mom sent a video message asking Mistress why she came for Robin’s lace front in the first episode. Mistress said she was in her chaotic era and that if she didn’t like it to have a blessed night. I’m team Mistress on this one! That duct tape was shining through the lace! A little foundation would have saved the day. Now the girls know better after seeing themselves on TV.

We finally got the see the lost footage of 40-inch-gate! In episode one, Irene famously came for Luxx about her wig not being 40 inches. And I’ve said it from the beginning: there’s no way that wig was 40 inches. Luxx was using the wrong side of the ruler! In the clip, Irene pulled out an actual 40-inch wig and compared it to Luxx’s alleged 40-inch wig. The difference was significant!! So now we have proof! Luxx’s wig was maybe 30 inches long. We can all sleep soundly tonight.

Next week is the grand finale, where each of the top queens will perform a solo number! There’s no lip-sync smackdown for the crown! I usually prefer the tournament-style lip sync, but I’m going into this with an open mind! Who’s going to win the crown and $200,000!? Come back next week and find out!!
