Spring is finally here, and what better way to pop things off than with a pool party? Well, we got you covered. Fleshbot is heading down to The Island House Key West for their infamous naked Hump Day pool party on April 12 and this time their very own writer slash jock-next-door pornstar AJ Sloan. How did you get your start as an Island House Pool Boy?

I first discovered Island House in May 2017. During that year, I got to know the staff and management. One year(ish) later, in June 2018, they asked me if I wanted to work the opening party for Key West Pride as one of the shot boys, and of course, I said yes. My first time hosting a naked pool party, however, it was in December of 2018 when the position opened.

Story Time: Tell us about the naughtiest thing you have witnessed at the Island House:

Someone had the curtains to their room open, and they were getting fisted. Not much of a story there, just stumbled upon it. The guy was taking it pretty well too.

Do you fancy yourself an exhibitionist?

I love being naked when allowed, and I don’t care if there is an audience. I’ve put on plenty of shows before.

Where is the wildest public place you've found yourself sporting your birthday suit?

In the basement of an un-named leather shop in New York, getting my cock sucked. Less so wild but more unexpected. I only went in to get the complimentary chest harness that comes with every gay card, but I ended up getting a full-body harness and a happy ending.

What is your favorite part about being a Pool Boy at Island House?

I like seeing the change of seasons through the lens of Island House. Based on what time of year it is, there’s a variety of different clientele, new and old, that you’ll see in the pool. And, of course, helping the unassuming newcomer get naked in a public setting for the first time at the pool is always a fun time. Watching them turn beet red is priceless.

What are your top three songs that are a pool party playlist must-have?

I am not the gay to ask about music. I'm fine with anything as long as it’s upbeat and keeps the party going.

Sunscreen or tanning oil?

By the grace of god and all the powers the universe has to offer, I have won the genetic lottery, and I do not burn. When I walk outside my tan just gets better. Sunscreen, I don’t want cancer.

Which room or space at the Island House is your favorite and why? 

I really do like the pool. If you want something to eat, there’s a restaurant right there. Want a drink? One of the bartenders, or a pool boy, can help you out. It’s also a great place to meet people. And who knows, you might end up hitting it off with someone by the pool, which helps you run into them later when you take a fruit loop up to the red room later.

What's your favorite poolside sip of choice?

I like a High Noon grapefruit or a blueberry vodka lemonade.

What would you say are essentials to pack when heading to the Island House for a weekend getaway?

Your phone—gotta get the cute boys' Instas. A statement piece, whether it be a necklace, hat, sunglasses, or a jewel-encrusted cock ring; you’re at the pool of the world’s best gay resort, feel free to be expressive. Most importantly, leave the bathing suit at home. I know the younger crowd doesn’t like that opinion, but trust me, you’ll have more fun.

What's your favorite scary movie? 

I’m not really into scary movies, but I did like The Nun when I saw it.

Do you know how to perform CPR? 

I was trained in Wilderness First Aid and CPR. However, I think you’ll be just fine at the pool.

What are you most excited about for the next Island House Pool Party?

I'm excited to see what the next party brings. Every party brings something new. After all, no two pool parties are alike. They're all different in their own quirky way.
