Jordan Jayro’s Drag Race Season 15 Recap: Episode 13, Teacher Makeovers

Hi, gay! It’s another week of the Drag Olympics! I’m back to recap this week’s episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race season 15! We’re steadily approaching the end of the season, and it feels like it’s gone by so fast! Even though it’s the biggest cast we’ve ever seen! It’s been a wild ride, and I’ve been loving every minute of it! Last week’s Rusical was easily one of the best we’ve ever seen! I’m so excited to get into this week’s episode!

What is the tea, honeybee? After Salina’s elimination, the top five get SHADY in this week’s mini-challenge!

Salina Estitties has just sashayed away, leaving behind a cryptic lipstick message saying she got what she “deserved”. She was clearly upset that so many of the girls said she deserved to go home. And that’s totally understandable. But at this point in the competition, if you don’t have challenge wins and you’ve had to lip sync multiple times, the writing is on the wall. Luxx decides to double down on everything she said last week on the runway. She famously went down the line and shared what she liked and didn’t like about each contestant. In her little coconut wig. I loved it.

And just like that, it’s another new day in the werk room! Ru enters the werk room and tells the queens that for this week’s mini-challenge, they will be playing Spill The T! This is going to be good!! They unanimously decided that Mistress is the shadiest. And I agree. The final question was “Who is going home next?” And everyone said Loosey! Even Loosey said Loosey! She was smart because that gave her the point she needed to win the mini-challenge! Now Loosey has like ten challenge wins, according to her.

RuPaul tells the queens that for this week’s maxi challenge, they will be giving makeovers to teachers! As the winner of the mini-challenge, Loosey gets to assign the makeovers. Was she being shady? That remains to be seen! It’s so nice seeing the queens all connect with their daughters. Mistress had a really great chat with her daughter who is also queer. She’s a high school art teacher and spoke about how important it is to make her classroom a safe space for her students.

We got to see some really cute walk-throughs with RuPaul! The only queen I’m really worried about is Luxx. Did you see those stick figure drawings she did? A mess! Ru asks Loosey if she was upset about the queens saying she should go home. She lied and said she didn’t give a shit. Which is very different from what she said at the top of the episode. But go off, girl. Then Ru tells the girls that their daughters will also have to lip-sync!! How fun! What could possibly go wrong?!

Let’s talk about the runway! Sasha and her daughter Ferocity looked stunning! They were both padded!! And the makeup was flawless! Loosey and her daughter LaLa looked fine! The hair and makeup were good but I did not like the outfits. Mistress and her daughter Madame were so gorg!! The gowns!! The presentation! The mugs! Luxx and her daughter Azul looked the worst! The outfits were rough! And the hem on her daughter’s dress needed to hit the floor! Anetra and Alektra were so good! I thought they looked so similar!! And their walk was fierce!

Anetra wins the challenge!! That’s her second consecutive win! It does feel like the wins are starting to get evenly spread among the queens. That’s a great thing going into the final few episodes! Loosey and Luxx are the bottom two queens! They lip-sync to “For The Girls” by Hayley Kiyoko. Luxx ate this lip sync! Loosey did not stand a chance, and she was sent home. That means our top four queens are Sasha Colby, Mistress Isabelle Brooks, Anetra, and Luxx Noir London! Next week is a music video challenge, and it looks good!!
