How does it feel to be recognized as The Cybersocket Award-winning Influencer of the year?

With a very big smile on my face, thinking of the many nominations I have received through the years - to finally have an award - feels wonderful. To be counted and considered feels so fucking good. I was not at the event so I never had the chance to say thanks. Not that I would have had a speech prepared so thank god my friend Sharok was there to receive it. I do want to say that I am grateful and do appreciate it.

Let’s roll it back to the beginning. How did you get into the industry?

If I'm not mistaken. This month marks the 20th anniversary of my first video. It was with Hot House. I don't think porn was something that I ever considered doing as I owned a construction company and during this time so it was not what I saw happening for myself. One day, a friend asked me if I would be interested in shooting a scene with him. Without much thought, I agreed. The next day I found myself driving over to the valley expecting to meet up with him but to my surprise, he was not there. I guess you could say I was thrown into the deep end. It was a tough day with a lot of sitting around and dealing with a specific production process but 8 hours later I was finally in front of the lights and camera destroying a hot guy. In the end, it was not a great experience. But a year later Ray Dragon was asking me to shoot with him, which was a great experience. Then there was Chi Chi LaRue after that. Shortly after, I moved to Europe and shot a bunch with TimTales and that was really where my brand took off.

When did you first realize that your cock eclipsed all other cocks?

I have no idea what that is supposed mean because I actually have the smallest dick compared to my older brothers and cousins. Growing up, my older brothers only wore sweatpants and no underwear. Their massive dicks were always in my face. Also, I recall that I had cousins with huge dicks, much larger than I am.

Having them to compare myself to never really made me feel like I was especially large. Puberty didn’t come my way until late, so in the locker rooms guys were looking at my hairless dick -which made me want to get in the shower and out of the locker room as quickly as possible. How did Cutler’s Den enter into existence?

It is and has been a long labor of love. My husband Jeff Carter and I started talking about creating a website together about 13 or 14 years ago. We talked about it many times without following through - but I have to admit he was the driving force behind it. When we finally did start Cutler’s Den, there were very few websites that featured Black men and usually it was as a fetish or a token Black dude on an otherwise white production. We knew that we could create a website that would deliver a broader representation without stereotypes and based on sexual appeal, not color or ethnicity. It is not a Black site or a fetish site or even a gay site, it is a "men having sex with men" website.

What is your favorite aspect of your work?

Evil grin! Fucking a lot of amazing ass. I love it.

Let’s step behind the scenes for a minute. Tell us about your partner Jeff. How did you two meet and how is he involved in the production?

Jeff Carter, my husband, is the love of my life. I have to say that I was very lucky to meet him. If it was love at first site, I'm not sure. I was visiting San Francisco in 2006 and Jeff saw my profile on a hookup site. At this time I had been doing porn for a few years so he knew who I was. He decided the way to get my attention was to photoshop himself into a picture of me having sex with some other guy. When he sent me this photo it really got my attention and I invited him over. I fucked his brains out - it with magic. After having sex and holding him in my arms for the first time I was all in. It was the first time I ever told someone that “you are my guy” And I meant it. We would spend time together often for the next 10 years - but never dating. That didn't happen until 2016 and we married in 2018.

How is Jeff Carter involved in the production of Cutler’s Den?

He is Cutler’s Den.

What goes into your social media strategy?

I'm not really great at social media so as a team we spent time talking about how to raise awareness of the inclusivity of Cutler’s Den. My social media is the face of that effort. I do want to get back to adding more of my lifestyle into the various outlets so I am working on that right now.

What type of porn is in your browser history?

I'm kind of an open book when it comes to porn. I like almost everything. Is there sex in it? Yes, please.

What is your experience as a performer of color in an industry where the default pigment is snow-white?

My default manner of speaking about things is to be positive so I'm happy that I have added to a broader representation. That's about all I have to say on this topic.

In what direction do you see porn going?

That is a hard question it seems like there is so much out there now. I'm glad that people are getting to a place where they feel free to express themselves for money.

New year, new you. What is next for Cutler?

We are a team, Jeff and me. More travel, more production, more focusing on the things that are important to me and my family.
