Behind the Scenes with AJ Sloan: Himeros.TV’s Seventh Circle

Thursday 4:30 pm

Another day another dollar and this time around I am flying out to Hamburg to shoot with Davey Wavey's Himeros.TV. I’m excited about this shoot, more than usual. There’s something very Eyes Wide Shut about the tone of Himeros.TV that I’m digging. I’m currently waiting for my flight looking over the scenes. The overall story arc is based on the 7th circle of Dante’s Inferno. For those of you who didn’t read the Wikipedia summary back in high school, the 7th circle is where all of us homos are sent after we kick it. Sounds like my kind of party.

Dante depicts a Hellscape that many, with the helpful conditioning of Christianity, imagine being a physical plain. The mixture of fear and shame tends to keep us in a box of social norms and expectations. Fuck that. From what I am picking up, this project is all about shedding the shame we are programmed to feel for our wants and desires as gay men. Time to tap into my hedonistic roots, with pleasure.

I didn’t get a wink of sleep on my red eye. I hope dick doesn’t get jet lag. On a positive note, Janelle Monáe crushed it in Glass Onion.

4:05 pm Hamburg

Waiting for my bag. While on the last flight, a super hot juxtaposition of two sex scenes (one gay, one straight, Netflix’s Sagrada Familia) began just as a little girl started to shoulder-check me to tap her father, sitting directly in front of me, on the head. As I began to recoil and hide my program, I realize that I am the victim whose personal space is being violated by an unruly child of s negligent parent. Game on, Sagrada. Game on.

8:34 pm at the Chalet

Finally here! I feel like I am in a slumber party wet dream. Everyone is warm and genuinely cool (and sexy). Also happy to see the familiar face Jordan Starr and looking forward to taking turns on each other tomorrow. Catch you in the morning.

Saturday 5:41 am

Just got back from a morning run. I feel like I went down the scary road that belle’s father did in beauty and the beast. On my last stretch, a big truck passed me, bringing with it the strongest gust of cow shit. If I don’t get pink eye from that, I’m never getting pink eye.

Finished my scene with happy hottie Jordan. Not going to lie, I’ve been waiting to tap that since I got here. We’ve been long overdue since the last time we saw each other. That being said, I’ve never fucked in such closed quarters. Our scene was in a sauna built for two. We rose to the challenge though, and I think you’re going to enjoy the final product. ;)

Sunday 6:30 am

Went for a run with Alex Mecum and Davey. Alex headed back to the chalet early, so I took the time to interview Davey. I learned a lot more about Himeros which only made me appreciative of the opportunity that much more. Interview to come…

Just finished a very entertaining and explorative scene with Ethan Chase and Leo Louis. It involved deprecation, domination, and a sausage on a plate. Equal parts bromantic and sadistic. Ethan’s tummy was a cum aquarium by the time we finished the shoot, and he sported the stickiest smile from ear to ear.

Went on a sunny walk in the country with Leo and Alex. I fucking miss Europe. Anyway, it must have been foreshadowing because now I am doing an impromptu scene with the both of them tomorrow. Something about me being thrown over someone’s shoulder and taken advantage of. Must be Sunday.

9:45 am Monday

Just left our morning group talk with sex coach Finn Deerhart. Himeros sets itself apart from other productions I've been on by inviting everyone in front of and behind the camera to connect over a few days. We eat together, chill together, and at times bathe together.

These morning meetings are amazing because they connect everyone even more with each other and ourselves. Today I was paired with Leo Louis, who coincidentally is also my scene partner that I’ll be shooting with later today. We were instructed through a practice of giving and receiving touch and not only deriving pleasure not only from being touched but from giving touch. That is quite an oversimplification, but you get the gist. Anyhow, we both finished the practice with rock-hard cocks, oops.

Leo and I have created yet another masterpiece for Himeros. Not going to lie, this one was an interesting one on many levels. In this scene, I coyly ask my bf (Alex) to create a kidnapping scenario where I get ravaged by a masked third party (Leo). It was definitely one of the more dynamic shoots I have been a part of. We all stepped up our game and had a great time doing it. You’re gonna f*ckin' love it, guaranteed.

10:30 am Last Day

Just finished recording Davey’s podcast for Himeros with Finn and the other models. It was great to hear about the other models’ experiences of the past few days and Finn’s breakdown of his artistic decisions regarding his inspiration for Dante’s Inferno and the psyche of the modern gay man in modern-day western society. It was the perfect way to begin our last day of shooting.

What better way to finish off the experience than with an occult group scene led by head witch Edward Terrant? We all went balls to the wall and unloaded all of our inner demons all over Jordan’s ass. Honestly, I’m a little bit glum that we are finished, It was an amazing past few days and I had the privilege of working with some of the kindest people, both in front of and behind the camera. I feel like I should ask everyone to sign my yearbook. Thank you Himeros.TV, it’s been real.
