Porn Star Profile: Teddy Bear Talks Finding Power in Fans Content, Go-Go for the Gold, and His Passion for Art & Design

PORN GALLERIES

In the world of gay men, there are so many archetypes and labels: twinks, jocks, daddies, otters, etc etc etc. No matter what type you prefer or identify as, for every gay man there seems to be a special place for the BEAR.

One bear making headlines and turning heads wherever he goes is the multitalented and so appropriately named Teddy Bear. In addition to being one of the hottest content creators on OnlyFans, the gorgeously hairy Teddy is a prolific artist and designer, the co-host of our Bear With Us Gurrrl podcast, and has even landed a gig as a judge (AKA The God of Individuality) on the hit new OutTV show Go-Go for the Gold. As a veteran go-go dancer himself (yet another skill of his!), Teddy is definitely an authority.

The adorable Teddy joined us for an interview to discuss his multifaceted life and how he balances it all.

Could you tell us about your journey to joining the industry?

I started out in studio porn and did that for about a year. Until near the end, when I left set one day and thought, "Do I hate sex?" The truth was I didn't hate sex; I hated not being in control of MY own body. Studio porn would decide your partner, and change your partner on a whim. You would have directors shout at you, "CUM!" with no sense of the humanity of your being. In my opinion, studio porn is very desensitized to the human connection. But when I started my OnlyFans/JustForFans pages I gained my sense of self-control and humanity of my own body again. Now, I get to choose who I want to film with and how we want to have sex. While there are still cameras rolling, there was finally authenticity in my scenes because it was just my real life. And the fiery spark I had for sex was re-ignited and continues to burn brighter every day. (I know many love doing studio work, and this is just MY experience!)

Do you like being classified as a bear?

At this point, you a call me a Bear, call me a Wolf, call me a ManBearPig. Pretty much anything that's excessively hairy for what a human normally would be befits me. (I also accept Caveman, as I recently found out I actually DO have Neanderthal DNA in my ancestry.)

What makes a great bear?

Bear is a broad term now, but it mainly means someone who does not fit into the generic stereotype of the gay male archetype. Hairless smooth Adonises have been the pivotal image of what a man is "supposed to look like" ever since we were kids and played with He-Man toys. Bears break out of that mold by being different body shapes, embracing body hair instead of shaving, and also truly just being a supportive community.

Do you have a favorite scene?

My favorite scenes I make on my site are when I (and my scene partner) put on business suits for what I like to call "Business Bear" it's an oncoming office sex fantasy of my creation,

You are now a judge on Apple TV's new reality show Go-Go for the Gold. Tell us about this series. How did you become involved?

I had been a go-go dancer for almost eight years before I became an adult actor. So when Jonny (from Hey QWeen) and OutTV asked me to be a part of this, I was more than excited to share my knowledge from the industry I learned over the years. The judges on the show are called the Go-Go Gods and I'm known as the God of Individuality. My go-go style is less focused on being a technical dancer and more on entertainment. From my unique crafted outfits, to basically being walking Petting Zoo with my fur, I had been able to turn Teddy Bear into a whole entire brand/persona and that's what I wanted to bring to this show and to these go-go boys competing. I wanna help them learn how to be the full package (pun intended) of a Go-Go superstar. The series, which is already the highest-rated in the network's history, is available to stream on OutTV in the US and FrootTV in the UK.

Tell us about your journey as an artist? How did you discover and develop your talent?

I've been drawing ever since I was four years old. I actually started drawing because I didn't like how my older sister would get attention if she made a doodle. So I picked up a pad of paper and started drawing, but that's when my parents noticed that I was different because while she was drawing a stick figures, I was already drawing actual human figures.

You do an array of art, from graphic designs to illustration to clothing. What kind (if any) of artist would you call yourself?

I just call myself an artist. It includes everything: from my graphic design to my Fine art, to my OnlyFans films I direct/edit myself. Any creative medium is art, so I prefer to just be known as that: an artist.

How do you balance your work as an artist with the demands of performing? Any conflicts?

It is very difficult sometimes. Because I run my own site and my own t-shirt company and do go-go appearances and film TV shows, I have to schedule myself time to do art. To create and let that outlet out of me (or else it builds up inside). Right now, since we are getting closer to pride, it's been harder and harder to find the time. I most recently had to write on my calendar blackout dates so I will make sure not to pick up any work, turn off my electronics, and just sit and do art

What are your plans for the future? Both as an artist and a performer?

Put together a recent collection for a gallery. And as far as being a performer, there are some special projects coming up that I can't publicly say yet ;-) but trust me, it's worth the wait for what I have in store.
