YouTuber Raymond Braun Is Taking Pride On The Road

CELEBRITY

As Pride season finally comes to a close and the last few remaining U.S. wrap up their festivities, YouTube has announced a new Pride-centric documentary is in the works. Raymond Braun, MTV host and YouTube personality, will be traveling across the country to small rural areas and large cities alike to get an idea of how pride has changed in the last 50 years.

The documentary, 'State of Pride', isn't your run-of-the-mill, shot on iPhone YouTube video, though. This time, the media giant has recruited an Oscar-winning duo of directors - Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman - to lead the way. These two, who are also part of the LGBTQ+ community, are known for their recent works that focus on the community, how it impacts the world and vice versa.

The documentary will be available June 2019 on the free, ad-supported version of YouTube, just in time for next Pride season so that everyone can see it.

"The film features powerful conversations with inspiring individuals as they open up about Pride and how it has changed over the past 50 years," said a spokesperson for the site.

Although I'm excited for yet another Pride-filled movie about the community I belong to, I can't help but be a little more excited about a (hopefully shirtless) Raymond Braun just wandering around through the cornfields of Iowa looking for someone to interview. Obviously, that's a lot to ask for (is it, though?), so we'll just admire these hot shots of him for now.
