Lustlab Comics: Personal Ads Come To Life

Anyone who reads alternative newspapers—or our Best of Craigslist feature—knows that personal ads are an endless source of entertainment: people everywhere will go to great lengths in their attempts to get laid, and they can create some of the most outlandish ploys imaginable in order to get their ad noticed. (Their ultra-specific sexual fantasies can be pretty clever as well.) Seattle's alt weekly The Stranger celebrates all matter of hookups-in-progress with their Lustlab Ad of the Week, a cartoon "dramatization" of the paper's most interesting personal ad drawn by illustrator Ellen Forney. She turns German-o-phile trannies, super sluts, badass femme dykes, and insatiable fuck tarts into playful one-panel strips that tease their lonelyheart subjects ... while somehow still making them feel even more human. It's yet another reminder that no matter what you happen to be looking for, chances are that someone else is looking for you.
