Our Beloved “Spartacus” Gets With The Gays

This week's Spartacus was short on the naked, grunting action, but there was plenty of high drama, especially as our favorite gladiator defended a gay slave boy. It's so adorable, it was almost love—tragic love.

That's right Naius, another one of the gladiators, decided he was going to take Barca's boy Pietros now that the gladiator was dead. Our Spartacus didn't want this to happen and tried to protect the boy.

However, when the man finally came for him, it was sad and scary. And what was Pietros going to do without a big strong man around to defend him? He had to follow the gladiators sick whims, no matter how sad it made him. Here is the scene when Naius comes to lay claim to his new lad.

Doctore is wondering around the Ludus asking questions about Barca's death. He knows that something is up. However, he should be more concerned with Pietros. Thinking that his lover left him behind to be tortured and abused by the gladiators—when really Barca was killed thanks to the machinations of another—the only thing Pietros can do to escape is to hang himself. Spartacus blames his death on Naius, and he does not react well. See what he does below. You can say a lot of things about Spartacus, but he is definitely friends of the gays. Now that they're all gone from the show, we think he needs to make a few more "friends." And quick!
