It's fitting that this story should come out in the same week that we not only finally got marriage equality for all, but also a new Spider-Man. One of the more interesting things to come out of the Sony hack late last year is a document from Sony executives detailing the key qualities that make up Spider-Man, and a big one apparently is heterosexuality.
According to Queerty (link below), Sony execs have a list of "Mandatory Character Traits" which reads more like a list of shit he's not allowed to do rather than a list of, you know, character traits.
The most interesting thing in the world is that last parenthesized sentence: unless Marvel has portrayed that alter ego as a homosexual. Their refusal to consider Miles Morales or any of the other potential versions of this character—many of whom are non-white—more or less makes that a moot point. So long as Sony's involved, Spider-Man will never not be Peter Parker, and he'll never, ever accept a cock in him.
Also, Sony, you kinda already made a gay Spider-Man movie...
