Trying to disguise condom use in gay porn has been around as long as there have been condoms in gay porn. However "amateur" site Corbin Fisher is going to whole new lengths to hide them...like not using condoms at all.
After what seems like months of using "are there condoms or aren't there?" camera tricks, what really brought this trend to our attention is the site's scorching update where muscle stud Aiden finally bottoms for the first time for the site's de facto mascot Dawson. We already knew the site doesn't require their guys to wear condoms when hooking up with ladies on the site or during their bisexual scenes, but this was the first time that the man-on-man action was so blatantly condom-free.
During the scene, Dawson's initial penetration is clearly bareback (something that we swear we've witnessed before on the site) and he gives Aiden quite a ride without any protection at all. Then about halfway through, he pulls out and very visibly puts on a condom in front of the camera before going back in again. Anyone with even a bit of safer sex education will tell you this is the equivalent of straight couples using the "pull-out method" for contraception—it might help a bit, but it's not at all effective. Either way, both of these guys have been on the giving or receiving end of a bareback fuck on the site before, so why the pretense of condoms now?
We're not here to play condom police (and you'd be hard-pressed to find a condom on the straight side of Fleshbot), and we've talked about bareback scenes in the past, like Jake Cruise's, which come with a warning that all the models are tested and urging people to still practice safe-sex in their private life. That's good enough for us, as is using condoms in all scenes. There's nothing that's a bigger woodkill than thinking performers are unsafe.
That's why this "find the condoms" game Corbin Fisher keeps playing is a bit maddening. Not only is it sending the wrong idea to the masturbating masses (who may be learning about safer sex from porn) but it wants to stay in a murky middle ground, turning on the people who want barebacking, but appeasing those who want condoms. You can't have your cake and eat someone out too. Just make up your mind, Corbin. We'll be fine with whatever decision your make, as long as you let the audience know everyone is safe.
