We Hate Unzipped For Making Us Feel Old

Back before the internet, people used to look at porn in these things called magazines. They had pages, and on the pages were pictures of naked guys, but also some really trashtastic ads. Unzipped is unearthing some of our favorites.

Their recent "Blast from the Past" series looks at old ads for poppers, phone sex lines, and escorts—all of which are also gone. Well, except the escorts, but they moved to Internet-town along with the porn. While we love looking at how bad the graphic design was back in the late '80s and early '90s, it also has us checking the mirror for greys, since we remember having earmarked copies of Men Magazine under our bed at St. Dymphna's School for Wayward Boys with these very ads in them. We just can't wait for 2030 when someone says to those young whippersnappers at Unzipped, "You used to watch porn on computers! Wow, that must have been really crazy!" Hopefully those same young kids will be drooling over us for the hot daddy we've become!
