What is it with politicians and their smut? One guy running for office is attacked over his novels with steamy sex scenes; the den mother of all Republican babes writes a lesbian potboiler and claims it's really not dirty at all. Meanwhile, we have no problem whatsoever with admitting we love smut right up front. Too bad we're not running for office.

For whatever reason, American athletes don't seem to get the respect they deserve in the boyblog world; instead, we're treated to an endless parade of European football and rugby players. Maybe the hometeam boys don't take their clothes off enough? In any case, Steph & Alek point us to a revealing video of German soccer star Lukas Podolski. Maybe they'll serve up one with Brady Quinn next time?

The newish Black Black + White Photography blog is devoted to ... uh, black and white photography—you know, that sort of "exquisite" and "tasteful" stuff you don't have to feel guilty about popping a boner to. The selection is so nice that we don't even mind the fact at least one of their recent posts seems to be "borrowed" from another source wthout credit. Hey—hot naked men are meant to be shared, right?

Finally, Mario Lopez continues to solidify his status as Non-Gay Gay Icon du Jour with a series of shirtless shots in a batting cage. And it seems like just yesterday that we were ... uh, watching him run around shirtless on "Saved By The Bell". At least he's consistent.
