You Could Soon Own Russell Crowe’s Leather Jockstrap From ‘Cinderella Man’

I think it's fair to say that off all the things we find sexy, jockstraps are close to the top of nearly everyone's list. They're just a fun way to perk up your cheeks while also giving your partner(s) easy access to your most valuable asset. So I wonder if Russell Crowe thought of this when he decided to auction off the leather jockstrap he famously wore (and sweated profusely) in for his part in Cinderella Man (2005). 

The actor is getting rid of some things that he's accumulated over the years from movie sets and his jockstrap from the boxing film is easily the most favored item so far. The jock was featured in the scene featuring the Heavy Weight Championship match between James J. Braddock vs. Max Baer. According to Sotheby's, the auctioneer, it's made of brown suede leather and elastic support. It is priced to start around $500-$600. He's put a pair of the trunks he wore up for auction as well. 

If you're into more than jockstraps and any kind of leather makes you tick, you should also check out his Doc Martin boots from Romper Stomper (1992). The boots still have sand on them from Hando's death scene in the film. You'll be spending a pretty penny for the pair (roughly $10,000 – $15,000). 

Now if we could just get our hands on some of his costumes from Gladiator (2000)...
