DJ Felix Jaehn Comes Out As Bisexual

CELEBRITY

As mainstream as LGBTQ issues have become in the entertainment industry - themes in TV shows, music video plots, etc - it's still difficult for actors and musicians to identify as their true selves in this hypersensitive society. Coming out in general is hard, but doing it in the limelight? Now that takes some major confidence.

German DJ Felix Jaehn, known best for his remix of OMI's "Cheerleader" and the 2015 remake of Rufus and Chaka Kahn’s "Ain’t Nobody" featuring Jasmine Thompson, has solidified his mark on the music scene (for me, anyway) after a recent interview in which he identifies himself as bisexual.

In a new interview with the German weekly Die Zeit, the 23-year-old DJ said he feels pretty 50/50 on his attraction to both sexes.

"Sometimes I was more interested in girls, sometimes more interested in boys," he said.

Jaehn also said he feels like he's ready to settle down, but something tells me after this little confession of his he's going to have so gigs lined up for quite a while.

He's not just relying on his sexual orientation for work, though. Jaehn is a pretty skilled artist. His version of "Cheerleader" topped the charts in 14 countries, including Denmark, Germany, the U.K., and the U.S.

It also doesn't hurt that he's adorable as fuck. With those boy-next-door looks and some talent behind a turntable (er, computer?), Jaehn is set to create a new big splash.
