Check Out Frank Ocean’s Drag Ball-Themed 30th Birthday Bash

Many celebs are pretty predictable, and most people hate getting older. Frank Ocean doesn't fit either of those molds.. He's been relatively out of the spotlight, but for his 30th birthday, he came back with a bang! Frank took his skin-tight sparkly tights that kinda look like he bought them at Goodwill on impulse, and threw himself a drag ball right out of Paris is Burning. 

Joined by a plethora of friends, Frank was able to strut his stuff without a care in the world. During the party that went all night long, Frank and friends kept their phones handy so they could show off what a great time they were having (without us... rude).

To top it all off, Frank was presented with an Eiffel Tower birthday cake (get it? Paris?) and told to make a wish.

The bash was very well-deserved. Just like the actual ocean, Frank's real life has been like riding a wave. After an amazing 2016 with the release of Blonde, which hit topped the charts both here is the states and in the U.K., Frank got hit with a huge dose of reality when his estranged father filed a lawsuit against him for defamation of character that centered around a Tumblr post from last year. His party came just a few days after he won the lawsuit. 

In the post, Frank spoke about how he overheard his father refer to a transgendered waitress as a "faggot." 

"That was the last afternoon I saw my father and the first time I heard that word, I think, although it wouldn’t shock me if it wasn’t. Many are annoyed by our wanting to be married like everyone else or use the correct restroom like everyone else," Frank wrote in the post.

"Many don’t see anything wrong with passing down the same old values that send thousands of kids into suicidal depression each year. So we say pride and we express love for who and what we are. Because who else will in earnest?"

The world can be fucked up sometimes, but it's people like Frank Ocean that give us hope. Stay golden, Frank!
